They may be changing the voting system to the skating system. This is the system used by scrutineers in the ballroom and latin competitive world!

I could be wrong, but I've got a feeling you can only watch iPlayer if you are inside the UK.
I only know this because I am the sad person who looked at TV channels all over the world trying to find a way to continue watching Shortland Street when it was dropped in the UK! 
I'm hoping that the BBC won't get any phone votes and hence no revenue when the new discredited series starts.

The BBC doesn't make any revenue from phone votes. It is against their charter.
