Diana Vickers - Jumping Into Rivers
A song has leaked from Diana Vickers' debut album. She's been writing and co-writing for it.
I really love the song. And to those of you that don't like it at first, I think it's a grower. What do you think ? Link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUsGuX5QRfk ! Wonder if it will be her debut single. |

Ok she's that Kate Bush clone off x factor right?
It seems ok I suppose, about on par with the rest of the hit parade. She seems to have toned down to an Avril Lavigne sound now though. |

Christ! She actually sounds worse than she did on the X-Factor. Surely studio magic can do better than that.
I hope it's not her lead single. |

I liked Diana on X Factor but i'm not so keen on this song, it just isn't catchy enough.

Eww I must say I am extremely un-impressed. Some songs grow on me over time but this one would never be able to do that.

I think it's just a demo, but I love it.

Nice to hear she hasn't given up on that weird impression of an Irish person. Good for her.

It's not bad, definitely could work as a lead single, has a nice summery feel to it

I don't actually mind this song! I'm not a Diana fan, but it does have a nice summery sound to it.

That would be a terrible single release. It is like they are trying to get it like a mix of Frou Frou(I can never remember the singer) and Ivy, and failing miserably.
Saying that, it's better than a lot of crap that has come out of The X-Factor. |

Hoping it's just an album track that doesn't get released. She can do much better if it's her debut single. She needs something like her X Factor performances of "With Or Without You" and up-tempo "Call Me".

Instead of trying to sound like the Cranberries singer she should revert back to more of her pre-X Factor finals style. Though maybe she just can't sing like that anymore. That acoustic demo she did years ago has her singing much better than now.
You've got to laugh at the effects on her voice, trying to disguise it's crapness! OK most pop artists have their voices messed with in the studio, but I would much prefere a stripped down Diana...if you know what I mean .

Oh my God...
She sounds terrible! In her audition she sounded great, gradually got worse and now she sounds awful. It's just my opinion, but I've heard some of her pre-X Factor stuff, before she modified her voice with all the weird noises, and it was really good. I hope she goes back to that style because this clearly isn't working for her. She's a talented girl but I don't think she's quite ready yet to release an album. Good luck to her though. |

Wouldn't it be good if she actually did jump into a river?

Major Winters you don't like a singer, fair enough but no need to be nasty, lot's singers I don't like and might go round saying they're talentless or whatever but wouldn't say anything as nasty as that even if you did mean it as a joke

Im a big diana fan.... but this isnt a very good song. the "uh uh uh oh oh oh" is just over used and annoying.
I don't think she needs big production work, just a simple acoustic album would be good! |

This is only one song out of many she is recording for the album. I'm sure this isn't the best of the lot.
