I'm a bit of a Paul McCartney fan, but most of the albums i'd listened to were from Wings.

However, thanks to Spotify, I've listened to Tug of War. I've never heard such a fantastic album, honestly. Tug of War and Wanderlust are just superb. I even think Tug of War would easily beat Imagine.

How could an album like this be somewhat forgotten, you don't hear much of it, in comparison to George Harrison's All Things Must Pass and John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band.

Discuss.

Tug Of War is an undiscovered gem. I believe it made number 1 here, but it never gets mentioned much. As you say Dude, Wanderlust is a superb song. I also love Somebody Who Cares, Here Today ( a touching tribute to John Lennon ) and Dress Me Up As A Robber. The only weak points for me are the two Stevie Wonder collaborations. I've never liked Ebony and Ivory. Apart from those two songs, Tug Of War is one of Paul's best ever solo albums.

You may like Red Rose Speedway too, an earlier release. That's also packed with great melodies and is actually my fave Macca album

I agree that it's a great album, probably his best post-Wings album tbh, but it's no "Imagine" Dude, seriously. "Ballroom Dancing" and "Ebony & Ivory" prevent it being a true classic.

I LOVE "Tug Of War" (and the cover design may I add!)

Here Today I think is obviously the best track on the album. . I can't listen to that one too much.
I like Ebony and Ivory but my mum "hates" it.
Somebody Who Cares is very Macca, and I love it.
and obviously Ballroom Dancing x
