Teen BB - the 4Learning edit
bitoclass
14-01-2004
Just a quick post to point out to anyone who's interested: the 4Learning series of Teen Big Brother starts on Monday 26 January at 9.30am on Channel 4. It runs for half an hour.

It's on on the next day too (at the same time) so it looks like it'll run all week, or perhaps for two weeks (or more). (I only have the listings for the Monday and Tuesday at the moment.)

It'll be interesting to see how they make certain incidents educational, won't it

Thanks for that. I was wondering if it was still going to be shown.

Is anyone watching? Are they simply repeating what we have already seen?

The last I heard it was to be an 'edited' version - now there's a concept!

Well, I'm assuming they're going to show a lot more of the National Curriculum-oriented tasks that they were all doing - and a lot less of the swearing their heads off at each other and having unprotected sex.

I wonder who will win this time round, or maybe Endemol haven't decided yet

I thought that was on the National Curriculum now looking at some of the kids in my neighbourhood.

I'm still convinced the character of Vicky Pollard on 'Little Britain' was inspired by Jade Dyer

You know, they could use it to educate kids about the dangers of unprotected sex. I dunno, it could work.

As in 'don't have unprotected sex, you never know who's watching...'?

I suppose that could be one of the dangers.

I must admit that as the mother of three teenage girls I have used Big Brother in the past to start conversations about "embarassing" subjects, I could be quite sneaky just dropping a comment about a housemates behaviour into the conversation (Jade was and ideal example!!) and it could start a discusssion and they didn't realise what I was doing!!!! Sadly they are a bit older now and have learned my underhand tricks!!!

its on for 2 weeks. It will show the entire series, with bits edited obviously. There will be more to do with the tasks, like analysis. There is also stuff that wasn't seen on the last showing.

I've noticed that Teen Big Brother is being shown again this week (with Day 1 being this mornings show). It's on Channel 4 every morning (ex weekends), at 11.30 till 12.
