As UFC is going to be free to air on Racing World tonight, this will need to be manually tuned in via non-freesat mode. Done that, but all my scheduled recording have gone!

How annoying! Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening again?

For anyone who needs to tune Racing World in, the details are as follow:

11585.00
27500
2/3

Channel is showing as a black screen with message saying either scrambled or not available for now.

Thanks.

Won't it be FTV rather than FTA still needing a card ?

They always seem to get that bit wrong when they say its free.

Won't be watching as it doesn't interest me, but i'm sure many will give it a whirl.

Yes well we know what free to air means but so many times the actual reality is, it's free to view.

Maybe they will be right this time, anyway i may tune in for technical reasons to see if i can see it in DVB Viewer.

Adding/Moving/Deleting non-freesat channels does delete all freesat reservations. Going in and out to view and/or record is OK though. You have to start recording manually but if you press record a 2nd time you can change the record duration. Will be interesting to see of it's in the clear.

You can't.

If you do a manual non-freesat tune, or edit, move, rename, re-order, or delete any non-freesat channels, it will delete your freesat timers.

Also, if you have any freesat timers set whilst you are watching this non-freesat marathon, then you can't do this. The box will want to change back to freesat mode when the timers are due to start, at T-15.

Rgds.

Les.

As usual they don't seem to know what FTA really means.
