I'm Lactose intolerant so the only tea I drink is iced.
I'm an ardent Iced Coffee drinker at the moment. Relatively new to it so just following the universal concoction. I always make the mistake of using oridnary ice cubes and it ending up a watery mess. I add coffee beans in to the ice tray with the water beforehand. Just a little touch my mother passed on to me. I'm sure you could do the same with tea. ![]() The method I use in the summer is to fill a transparent cup with cold water, place 3/4 teaspoons of tea and cover or cap lightly. Place in direct sunlight for 2 to 4 hours (depending on how strong you like it). Strain and serve over ice adding your desired ingeredients as you go. I tend to go for lemon & mint and am going through a phase of using rock sugar swizzle sticks for that sweet sensation it can tend to lack with standard sugar. I appreciate the British climate isnt particularly conducive to this recipe though. ![]() This is the only recipe I've used of all of them that also hasent given me unbearable brain freeze. |

Put three teabags in a three pint jug of water, leave in the fridge for several hours (I usually make it in the evening and leave till morning), remove from fridge, remove teabags, add juice of half a lemon (or a tablespoon of Jif) and a teaspoon of sugar and stir, then pour over ice.
