Last year several of us applied for BB4. I failed at the first hurdle, but some other members got quite far in the process. Hazywoman comes to mind.

Will anyone be joining me in trying to get into the BB5 House?

During last year's efforts I thought I would apply, but now I'm not so sure.

I don't think i would apply, but then i never have. Always tempted but I think the negative far out way the positives. I would love to experience life in the house, but not enough to have to deal with all the publicity and stigma of being a BB contestant.
I'm actually interested in why the application process hasn't started already? in previous years the application form is already out and we would be approaching the cut off point for entries. Why is it delayed this year? Does this indicate a change to the new series? and maybe a possible later start?
Anyone know?

I'll give it a go but I suspect having a two month old baby to worry about may hamper my cause......

It's good for sympathy votes. You can spin the line that 'you are doing it for your kid'.

Well I did last year and I intend to do so again this year.
Not even the reception I received when the video appeared on E4,a lot of which weren't that pleasant .will put me off.
And I do know it was very boring but it did the job ,and got an audition even though I failed at the first round.

I could cope with the flak and the publicity no problem. I just couldn't cope with the sheer boredom of being stuck in that house for even a couple of weeks.

There have been rumours ever since BB3 that kate has posted on Digital Spy. I know no more than that I'm afraid.

I had not read that but I am only a newcomer myself.

i remember clearly that it was Kate and JADE who had met before-that was definiite and in real life -not on an idiot board.

Because they live failrly close they were together in one of the regional selection groups of 20 odd that lasted 3-4 hours-hence knew each other that way.

Yeah, I vaguely remember that on the night the BB3 housemates went in, when Kate went down the steps and into the house, she was pointing towards someone with an OMG look, and then Jade rushed forward and gave her a hug and they were both smiling. At the time I didn't quite understand it why those two should strike up that instant connection, but if they had met before, at the auditions, then that whole exchange finally makes sense to me!

Jade and Kate friends... how things have changed since then!

As for the question about applying for BB5, nothing on earth could persuade me! Just looking at how many contestants have had bad experiences with the press would be enough in itself to put me off. And the idea of having to potentially live for nine weeks in a house with the likes of Cameron or Ray...no thank you, what a nightmare to have to live with two-faced backstabbers like they were while they were in the house!

Jade & Kate first met during the BB3 auditions. The rumour is (and that's all it is as far as I know) that Kate stated that she couldn't stand Jade and would hate to be stuck in the BB3 House with her.

(If you just want the feel –I have a good business idea –get a company and do your own basic BB and charge people to apply –those selected go in the house
-a wharehouse somewhere cheap-just use your imagination-and the others get to see the video output as live and do the voting.

I agree about the GBP 70,000-largely irrelevant-Alex and Jade have made more cash than Kate –I am sure Kate does not care.
She has a history of not being motivated by money-she was the girlfriend of a millionaire for over a year and came out of it by her choice with nothing.
What more evidence do you need –and yet she is still good mates with him.
When she applied to BB she was living at home with debts and a small wardrobe and only a half way decent job.
