Hope this works - here are pics of Jenny. They are not recent - taken in our house pre flood, it all looks so different now! Love 'the puss in winter' one.

Ooh I feel all special, a thread with my name on it.

She's a tuxedo cat! I love tuxedo cats! She has such a shiny coat. What a lovely girl.

How old is she?

Oh I've never heard that before - tuxedo cat! We call her Jennyanydots sometimes in honour of the musical - a name my son changed to Jennyanyspots, then abbreviated it to just 'spots'.

I think she is 11, she came to live with us in 1999 and her age was estimated at 6mths to 1yr. Her fur is really glossy and soft - and it has always been so. The last time we visited the vet he asked about her fur - wondered if we gave her anything for the sheen. We don't intentionally but she has aloe vera for sore eyes (allergy) - then she, of course, cleans and the aloe gets into her system. Just a theory, but I once read a report in the paper re a cat that had reached 30 - its owner put this down to a couple of drops iof pure aloe vera juice in its food daily. Interesting.

Aloe vera has a lot of health benefits it seems, for animals and humans.

Tuxedo cats are so called because their markings look like they are wearing a tuxedo - white collar, chest and cuffs! Our beautiful little Jellybean was a long haired tuxedo cat:

I hope that we get 11 plus happy years with our cats like you have with yours.

Oh how beautiful - love the eyes. How old was he/she?Unfortunately, Jenny's eyes are quite bad due to the allergies - she lost 'eyebrows' and fur around the eyes. I hope she lives a lot longer (if it isn't a tumour), my last puss (Jeremy, a loving tabby) reached 12 but he had cancer. I hoped Jenny would reach 15/16 - as I have heard so many owners say theirs have lived this long.

Funny I had never heard 'tuxedo' before.

I think tuxedo is mainly an American phrase but I love it!

Jellybean was about 6 months old there. She died when she was only 8 months old, developed a fatal disease called FIP. I didn't realise it was possible to love an animal so very much in only 6 months together.

She was always a tiny girl, here is my favourite photo of her and her big brother:

He did a little bit, but she went downhill quite gradually over the course of 2 months, so he got used to her not playing and being very quiet. He did look for her when she went though, and it's taken him a couple of months to come out of his shell.

Oh poor Drifter - I really do think they grieve in their own way. We had 2 (Jeremy and Jimmy), Jimmy died at 8yrs. Jeremy definitely pined, but then our neighbours got a kitten and they got on famously. Strange as we had tried to introduce another cat and Jeremy went ballistic yet he had no issue with Bilbo from next door! Bilbo thought our home was an extension of his, not a problem until my late mum was staying for the weekend - and woke up with him next to her on the pillow! I will try to get pics of my late babies.
