Like the programme what would you feed your hosts..

I would start of with ''soup of the day'', which would be vegetable, and a bun and butter

Then i would do my perfect Lasagne with nice cheese sauce how i do normally..

Then for afters there would be a choice of either..
Home made chocolate cake with custard or a yogert(caramel or coffee flavour)

Home made choccie chip fairy cakes( with icing on top)
or
just bought jaffacakes..

Then to finish i would serve coffee with after dinner mints..

You wouldnt go home starving, cos i do loads..

Oh go on then.

Starter.

Scallops on a minted pea puree drizzled with lemon pepper olive oil and Moroccan flatbreads.

Main.

Chicken Parmesan with little cubed roast potatoes flavoured with garlic & Rosemary.

Dessert.

Classic lemon tart with vanilla mascarpone.

All washed down with champagne, and bloody lots of it!

Hmm, I always think about this and then change my mind!

Starter

Fried cassava chips
Homemade samosa
Uttappam

all served with chilli sauce, and homemade chutneys

Main course

Lentil Dhal
Tikka potatoes
Aubergine bhajee
Probably some kind of vegetable curry as well

Served with Lemon rice and homemade naan

Dessert

Either green tea ice cream sandwiches or chocolate banana split brownie pudding.

Both totally don't go with the starter or the main but they're probably my favourite desserts I make! All would be vegan which is why I'd cook so many dishes, so no one could whine about how they went to extra effort

Starter - Chicken Pakora - reconstituted scrapings from a close relelative of the poultry family deep fried in 1 months old oil with peeled raw onions and a chilli sauce that your stomach will never forget , nor forgive

Main- Large Donner Kebab with all the trimmings - a generous helping of "elephants leg" marinated in an a selection of seasonal "e" numbers and cooked on a vertical spit over several days, left unattended overnight to allow the flavours to mature. Served in a pitta bread aged just enough by its use by date to negate the need for toasting to achieve that crispy finish, finished with yet more of that chilli sauce which is known to resist all known stain removers.

Desert - chocolate surprise - mars bar lightly deep fried and served in batter, as recommended by all major coronary units

Drinks - Several cans of Stella Artois served with a selection of fortified wines brewed by the monks of Buckfast Abbey

Your starter sounds yummy, have you got a recipe for it? If you do would you mind posting it, I absolutley love chicken livers!

Mine changes all the time but in my current mood I would go for -

Starter: Smoked Salmon Terrine or Mushroom Risotto

Main: Slow cooked rack of lamb with dauphinose potatoes, baby carotts, fine green beans and mange tout or a Beef wellington with cubed garlic potatoes, the same veg and a brandy cream peppercorn sauce.

Pud: White chocolate and raspberry tart, Eton mess and a cheeseboard with lots of port!

I know I know But my Mum cooked it once and it was absolutley delicious.

I think I set my standards a bit high with my menu, I'd probably be the contestant that gets so nervous she gets drunk and everyone ends up with beans on toast!

You can't have "secret" recipes on the Food & Drink, it's the law. Come on, spill the beans!!

Then it's time to confess...my husband makes the dressing and I don't know what's in it apart from olive oil and some kind of vinaigrette There's about another 5 things in it but I couldn't begin to guess.
