I am delighted , I was getting bored with the same old faces , saying the same old things .
I love SCD . its my favourite programme of the whole year , I look forward to it , I love the new couples , new dancers and am very willing to give Alesha a chance before I moan about her .
If after a few weeks its not working then I can safely say I am not keen .
I wasnt pushed about Arlene and wont miss her .

I'm working on the explosive new book to lay bare every conspiracy of SCD from series1 to now. One of the biggest mysteries is how Brendan ever thought his and Lisa's showdance was a good idea. One chapter will explore that vexed question from every conceivable angle before deciding that there was somebody on the grassy knoll by the BBC carpark administering a strange drug into Brendan's bottle of water in the practice studio.

That will be a best seller for sure!

Perhaps this could be the conspiracy thread for the new series?!

PS I could answer your point about why Alesha didn't win the Christmas show in 2007, but then you might write about it in your book!

Shush.

Send it to me...under plain cover. I don't want to end up in a Mercedes with dodgy brakes.

The Austin chapters (there are in fact 3) are taking the longest because I keep getting distracted looking at his ches..analysing the brilliance of his Paso Doble. But I'm getting there.

As for Jessie's dresses, that could go down as the great unanswerable. I have Anthony Summers and David Shayler digging around in the wardrobe department undercover and have still yet to come up with a satisfactory answer for that.

Amendment to Jessie: have discovered that the person responsible for those curtains was in the words of Blackadder had all the ability of a colour blind hedgehog...in a bag.

As for Austin, they just thought that a 2 girl final would be a REALLY GOOD IDEA!!! IT'S NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE!!!!!

Looking into my crystal ball I think Arlene will eventually do a book telling all about SCD!

This whole decision is not only childish and pathetic but it is also really offensive. What you are going to have is professional dancers from the height of their profession being judged and scored by someone who has taken a 13 week crash course in ten dances. All she knows is the steps she was shown, in the order she was shown, what can she possibly bring to this competition?
Bringing Darcey Bussell in is a better choice, but then placing her on the ancillary programme when Alesha Dixon is given the highest paid position within the judge totally negates any good from this choice.

If the new vision for SCD is to offend past viewers and anyone interested or involved in dancing then well done.

If the new vision for SCD is to cut viewing figures by half, well done.

If the new vision for SCD is to suggest that expertise, experience and understanding can be replaced with inexperience, ignorance and an annoying 'look at me' laugh then well done.

Despite being an avid viewer of all the previous series I will not be watching the new one in the autumn!
