Sky+ copy function on BT Vision
I'm moving from Sky+ to BT Vision, and one function I can't find is the Copy function that I find very useful on Sky+ - good for making a DVD worth of kids programs without having to start a new program every 20 minutes.
Does anyone know if you can set the BT Vision box to play multiple recorded programs one after another to allow for continuous copy to a DVD? Sorry if this has been answered on another thread. I have had a search but can't find anything. |

Welcome to DS forum...
the copy functionality AFAIK is not available in BTV. The legally dubious nature of it I suspect put BT off. Interestingly, coming from SKY+, technically you should delete/destroy any 'backed up' content that you have obtained from Sky. Your legal right to view it expires with your Sky subscription. on a side note, I suspect your flirtation with BTV will be brief. |

I'm afraid there's no copy function on BTVision.
What it does have is childrens VOD playlists or continuous packs that run for a couple of hours. This was available the last time I checked. Also, you can record VOD & recorded content via the scart socket if thats what you wish to do - I dont know the ins and outs of this but I'm sure someone will assist if you ask. Lastly, welcome to the forums. Some poeple are here to help and assist whilst others are here simply to disrupt & peddle FUD. I suspect your flirtation with these people will be very brief. |

lol... originality costs nothing
still... sorry if my opinion of a service I have had for a year or so offends anyone. It has worked well apart from the 1st week or so. Just the content is generally awful, the only vaguely useful part is 'Replay' which to be honest is just an 'amnesia' back up. If I'd remembered to record stuff I wouldn't need Replay. I haven't spoken to anyone who has come to BT from Sky who hasn't been disappointed. Just an opinion, need to let the OP make his own mind up. |

You dont offend you just annoy. The OP didnt ask your opinion about the service overall and your comments are generally unhelpful & sarcastic. He or she has likely entered into a 12 or 18 month contract with BT and your PERSONAL opinion is certainly not a generally recognised one.
sure.... BT are tripping over themselves with all those satisfied customers... Dan Marks must be wrong...! |
