I'm almost certain i never used to have this problem but recently i'm getting alot of conflict recording notices.

Say i'm recording a prog on BBC1 from 8pm to 9pm then the following program on bbc1 from 9pm to 10.
Because im recording a program on CH4 at 9pm till 10pm it says i'm trying to record 3 things at once and i need to stop one.
This shouldnt be happening as it should just record the BBC one programs one after the other on the same tuner. I'm sure it never used to happen a few months ago.

Anyone else having this problem?

This is a side effect of the automatic 5 minute padding that is added to all recordings to help stop the end of programmes being cut off. It has been like this for quite a while now.

The next update will address this with a much more flexible & intelligent approach similar to what you have said and will remove such conflicts.

You can modify the first recording to remove the five minute padding before setting the second one to record.

Bit of a pain - but you get used to doing it fairly quickly. Roll on the next version which should solve this.

Small pain compared to missing the end of the programme. I'm happy to report that firmware 25044 and 25077 (just arrived ) have what BT calls "soft" padding at the beginning and end of the recording. 2 mins pre, 5 mins post. The "soft" bit means that they get removed in the event of a tuner conflict. Since having this firmware its quite rare for me to see the conflict screen.
