I am looking to expand my repertoire of barbecue sides and am open to interesting flavour combos, nuts and fruit being included, interesting ways with cheeses anything a bit different basically!
For my next one I'm thinking of a wild greens, manouri and fig salad and a wild rice salad with peppers, spring onion and mango. Any other suggestions are much appreciated though!

This looks nice:

We often do a panzanella or a green bean, beetroot and feta salad or a pasta salad in a watercress sauce, with asparagus and artichokes and parmesan.

I made a randomly lovely salad to go with a BBQ a few weeks back and it turned out brilliantly!

I just dressed some rocket leaves with olive oil and balsamic vinigar, fried of some beansprouts and garlic and left them to go cold, then mixed them with some finely sliced spring onions and red onions and then finely diced beetroot.

Seems like a strange combo but it all worked so well together that ive had it as a side salad with quite a few things now.

I had a great salad in the States last year, and I've made it several times since. It was spinach leaves (I sometimes add rocket too), with dried cranberries, pecans, crumbled blue cheese and pan fried apples (I often leave these out, or just put them in raw) and OMG it was yum.

Wow thanks everyone, some great suggestions!
I saw a new Yotam Ottolenghi recipe involving beetroot at the weekend that I was also considering coincidentally and that strawberry and halloumi salad looks amazing!
