Hi GC,

ITV don't get their SL, AR, or HD flags right half of the time, what chance they'll properly implement the Copy Protection Flag?

Rgds.

Morning savvy.. Pehaps someone from Panasonic will pop along to ITV and flick the right button for them and then stick a big warning sign on it saying 'DO NOT TOUCH'

1st of all it has to be on ITVHD
Then it has to actually have been shown right
Then it will have to be correctly flagged.

The odd of this happening reliably is about the same as any one of us nailing all of girls aloud on consecutive days.

Did this ever get resolved? Is ITV HD still 'copy never'?

You cannot copy ITV HD programmes from the HDR to external HDD via USB so I would say its still protected.

SkipTracer: thanks for the update.

There must be some well pleased owners of freesat+blu ray burner boxes out there.

But that's true of BBC HD, which (IIRC) is Copy Once, and so could be copied onto suitable media by these Panasonic machines.

Cheers,
David.
