Is Chris Moyles doing Strictly Come Dancing this year? He did mention that he wasn't doing it on Tuesday Breakfast show on Radio 1. I just wonder if this is a cover up?

I really hope he does! I love Chris Moyles and the show definitely wouldn't be boring with him on it.

I would say 99% no, he's mentioned a few times on his show that he's been asked, but he seems to be wanting to raise his tv profile (Kilimanjaro climb, Who Do You Think You Are next week and his channel 4 show). I guess he thinks he doesn't have much longer left on the Radio 1 breakfast show.

Also, he's fanatically working out at the moment, I don't know if it's to lose weight or get fit enough to do SCD. He would also get the demographic they seem to be chasing with the Alesha appointment, I know they want him to do it, it's just a case of whether he wants to, his team definitely want him to do it.

The other ones on the Breakfast team, have been urging him to do it for a few weeks now, and he keeps denying it.
He also said he wouldn't do the tour, as it doesnt pay enough and is too much time out of your life.

I think he would be quite a good partner...he's lost a lot of weight and is on quite an intensive training programme from the sounds of things, and once he starts something he is really keen to do well at it. I would think he would be very dedicated to it, and really try his hardest to be good. ...so maybe he would be a decent partner to have.

He would be ok, if he's taking it that seriously. I remember him on Celeb XF and he took it much more seriously than anyone expected.

I don't think he'd be a proper contender because of his build (although stranger things have happened), but he'd be fun and probably better than most of last year's men

I'd be surprised as he's just criticised the BBC according to Sky News - but stranger things have happened. I wouldn't mind him tbh as I think he'd give it his all.

I think Chris Moyles would be great and I bet he'd be very competitive! We could see him disappearing before our eyes - everyone loses weight when they compete don't they?

Hes mentioned it before, so I think its a possibility.....

I bloody hope not as he gets on my tits. Him, Alesha as judge and the return of sulky Len would just about drive me from the show!!

Comedy Dave did spill the beans a little on Mondays Breakfast show whilst Vernon was sitting in. I do wonder if it's true? Vernon could well be filling in for him some of the week when Strictly starts?

I think I did

If my memory serves me correctly, Chris Moyles was one of the people responsible for the whole JS furore after using the influence of his radio show to whip up support for him.

I can see it happening again, with Vote Chris campaigns, whether or not he is entertaining to watch.

If he does do it I have to question why the BBC are promoting him so heavily. Long article in the Radio Times this week. "Who Do You Think You Are"!

He is such an obnoxious man - I cannot stand him.

TBH I only know him from the reality singing show and before that I'd got a negative opinion of him, but I warmed to him during that time.

Who Do You Think You Are was probably filmed a while ago and I suspect he's considering leaving the BBC judging by this latest outburst.

I can't.

Moyles may have a big mouth on the radio but whenever I've seen him being interviewed he comes across as quite modest and almost shy.

If he did this, which I hope he does, I am sure he would be incrediibly dedicated and may surprise a few people. And of being the breakfast host of the major "youth" station in the UK is bound to bring in a younger audience to SCD.

I think it was filmed latish last year because he made some awful comment about him not being very interesting because his ancestors didn't end up in Auschwitz and there was a big fuss. I'd hate him to be on it.

I agree, he is way more sensitive and shy than he comes across on his show. He always says that he just comes alive in front of a microphone on the radio, but that he is very shy and awkward in real life.

I like him a lot, regardless of his radio 1 persona, I think he has a good heart. He is not your typical famous egomaniac, he just has a very shock-jock personality for his radio show, that's not really him. IMO, of course.

It was filmed in September last year.
