The Pet Shop Boys - Pandemonium Tour
Has anyone seen the Pet Shop Boys Pandemonium Tour yet?
I saw them last night at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, and they were absolutely superb. A great mix of songs from across their career combined with a continuous visual assault as video imagery, lights and the great dancers constantly made use of the mountains of cardboard boxes being used as screens and props on stage. I honestly never thought a few hundred cardboard boxes could be so entertaining. A word too for their support act Frankmusik as they were good too, giving a very enjoyable performance themselves. I'll admit to never having seem them perform live before, so I don't have a frame of reference, but I thought it was a fantastic show, and would definitely go and see them again. Has anyone else been to the Pandemonium Tour dates they've played over the past couple of weeks? What did you think? |

Yup, Frankmusik supported, and good they were too. According to Wikipedia (yeah, I know), they will be supporting again for the second phase of the tour ater in the year. If anyone wants a taster of the tour, here's a compilation of Monday evening's Liverpool gig that somebody has posted to YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pd_lFy71tI I'm actually a bit disappointed they aren't returning to Liverpool later in the year, as as I said in my original post, I'd definitely go and see the show again. |

Domino Dancing is performed on this tour, in conjunction with Discoteca and Se A Vida È. The other two are not performed.
Here's the current set list, in spoiler tags just in case anyone doesn't want to know -

They deserved to win the Legend award at the Brit Awards 2009 earlier this year.
West End Girls has to be one of the best pop songs ever, definately of 1984. P.S Any of you interested in applying for DS Factor 4? Check out the X Factor forum for more details. I need auditions, but if I don't I will have to cancel the show. |

Saw them last month in Manchester and they were simply amazing. First time I'd seen PSB after waiting more than 20 years and it was well worth the wait. Planning on seeing them again in December!

Saw them at the O2 and although there were some songs I hadn't heard live which were great, I hated the dancers and the choreography, thought the set was crap and not a patch on the Fundamental or Nightlife tours - just my opinion. I wish they'd get over mixing songs together and just stick to one at a time.
