I have someone at the BBC who seems to think these celebs are being lined up for this years show.



Are all expected to be part of it.

If Paul is successful then we can expect him to be host in a few series.

Paul has always said he'd never do it. And if Carol McGiffin is doing it I might have to think seriously about watching it as I absolutely can't stand her. But then, I can't stand Sharon Osborne either. Not a great line up so far.

Paul may have said that but he has been in several talks....

And I'm surprised you think its a piss poor line up. I think just off those names it could be the best series for years. Its going to be pure entertainment and bitching. Just the way it should be!

Paul would quite like to dance with Lilia wouldn't he? They have danced together at a couple of his shows, and he mentioned it once when he interviewed Tess.

I think it's rubbish too FT. But then I don't think "pure entertainment and bitching, just the way it should be!" really sums up my view of the show!

So who exactly would you want on the show?

They're pretty much all ITV people. Why would this make any sense at all. no! I don't like any of them! Geri is okay though. Although this would mean we're slowly edging towards all of the Spice Girls taking part ... tad predictable.

Apart from GH, I like that line up. But I doubt if the BBC, could aford that line-up.

As for PO, I would think his health worries, would stop him from doing it, Time would also be a factor, as his show runs at the same time as SCD.

I would quite happily watch that line up too.

Geri Halliwell? But it's called Strictly Come Dancing, not Strictly Come Attention-Seeking ...

With the exception of O'Grady and Tointon, utterly appalling. Halliwell and Moyles are utterly tedious self-publicists; Halliwell in particular is desperate to resuscitate her career. Halliwell will also get Bruno and Craig fawning all over her while the public vote against her (in other words, Emma Bunton). Shepherd has (I think?) previous dance experience - just wait for the threads to start springing up.

Overall, unimaginative and predictable. :yawn: It actually looks like a parody of previous line-ups.

I didn't read Ben Shepherd, he's probably one to watch if he does it!

There doesn't seem to be many people under the age of 30 amongst the rumours. For a show thats desperate to attract the younger viewer, I would guess they'll need to get someone a bit more 'happening' than any of the names we've had so far...

Self-promotion is the name of the game on Strictly - did anyone see Nigel Planer's spoof 'Actors Studio' last night ("Nicholas Craig on How to Be Old")? His agent told him even just doing week one of Strictly would be of incalculable benefit to his career...I imagine there are lots of real conversations like that.

Carol McGiffin had a twirl with Anton on Loose Women and she was very, very wooden.

Can't imagine Paul O'Grady's health being good enough for a quickstep, but as a presenter...brill!!

Not poor Anton again- Carol is quite feisty - why not put her with Brendan

The only one out of that lot I could actually see doing it is Kara Tointon to fill the EE quota

Paul has a dicky heart history - I'm sure SCD would be far too strenuous. Remember Jimmy Tarbuck having to pull out due to a heart scare?

If Paul has a place in SCD it would be as a possible replacement for Bruce - but then Anton looks like a contender for that spot.

Ah well it's great to speculate.

If the rumours of Richard and Judy are true that line up looks very uninspiring - can't see a single potential 'dancer' amongst them.

Oh heck. Chris Moyles? Pity the poor dancer who gets landed with him. I do hope you are wrong!

I can't imagine Carol doing it at all. She always says she can't dance. Maybe the rumour is one of the Loose Women, if so then my money would be on Jackie Brambles, who is leaving Loose Women next month (just in time for training to start) or Denise Welch, who was rumoured last year.

Interesting point- she is about 5ft 6- so maybe James- eeh it is fun guessing and then speculating who they may get

After watching Loose Women fans voting Coleen Nolan through week after week on DOI, I sincerely hope we don't get another one being dragged around the floor and kept in simply because of the LW fan base.

I agree footygirl I think if Ben is to do it, his most likely partner would be Kristina or Flavia

Can't say it's an inspiring line-up so far. Not a fan of Chris Moyles or Sharon Ozbourne, and I dread the option of any Loose Woman, please not a repeat of Coleen in DOI!
