Sendo 330
I dropped & broke my fairly new Vodafone contract phone so I thought I would get a cheap PAYG replacement and just swap the SIM cards. I plumped for the Sendo 330 but when I put the pay monthly SIM it said "invalid SIM " and asked for a code. Both SIMs are vodafone I tried an O2 SIm which also wouldnt work but another PAYG vodafone SIM was fine. Obviously the phone is somehow locked to the PAYG network, is there anyway to unlock it to Pay Monthly or am I now lumbered with 2 no good phones?

Tried that Dan, looking good to start with the operator listened, put me on hold for 10 minutes while she found out the code, then hung up on me !! Tried again this time was told that it was £25 to unlock the phone but that it wouldnt work after !! Well it would work on any network but Vodafone!! Have e mailed them to see what that brings will let you know. Thanks for the reply.

Success !! Well maybe, popped into my local Vodafone shop told them the saga, they said to call 191 from my PAYG number and they knew all about it and are going to post and e-mail the unlocking code, takes about a week and costs £ 20 though.

Problem solved, code arrived today by e mail it's just an 8 digit numeric code to input and its unlocked, moral learned dont give up with Vodafone Customer Services, the first half a dozen people there didnt have a clue but got there in the end. Thanks Dan for suggesting the obvious and sorry to bore you all with this thread !!

Final final post on this, it was free to unlock the phone to a Vodafone contract SIM, the £20 is to unlock it to all non Voda networks, so if you break, lose or sell your Vodafone contract phone the Sendo 330 is a nice, little, colour screen replacement at £40,or £30 if you sell the PAYT SIM that comes with it !!
