Really?, I was thinking the doctor-donna regenerates rather than a different time period

The article also says that the first picture of the 11th doctor and his companion, together, will be released on Tuesday. I don't see why "The Mirror" should not be believed as it is probable that the info was leaked to the media in the lead-up to Matt and Karen taking over the roles.
I will say that children have been saying with delight that the next companion's name will be Heather McCrimmon due to this name and character appearing in the special editions of Doctor Who Magazine which have been included in recent editions , in of all papers which cannot be believed, apparently, "The Mirror".

I take back everything I said.

If there's any higher bastion of truth and accuracy than The Daily Star then I've never heard of it.

I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say.

What children? Who's "Heather McCrimmon"?

Yes - on line - so too late for the Monday newspaper (in print) but in time to be in print for the Tuesday edition.

The 'Pond' bit is a tad underwhelming. Reminds me of a novelty name that children's entertainers use.
