I Hate Everything - A Humourous Thread
So.....we only have 94 threads about Alesha/Arlene, most of them have the same people saying the same things over and over again (including myself). If it carries on like this it will rip a hole in the space/time continuum. (Sorry too much Doctor Who).
So...here's a thread to act as a Room 101. Everything you dislike about Strictly (or anything for that matter) put it in here and it will never have to be mentioned again. Lets start with...posts about the BBC making money from the phone vote (they don't and never have). Over to you

Just one question Quizmike...How long do you expect the humour to last? A page or two? A post or two?
![]() PS: I hate obscure Dr Who references appearing in inapropriate places...You will be exterminated!

I hate being informed time and time again that my life is practically not worth living if I don't watch this film / read this book and then discover it's a pile of crap.

I hate Bruce, Tess, Craig, Len, Bruno, Alesha as a judge, the band, the singers, the opening theme tune, the camera work, the voting system, the cost of voting, the overmarking, Karen Hardy, Anton doing Latin, the costume designer, the make artist, the hair stylist, the ex - Eastenders contestants, Darren Bennett's wig, the contestants with previous dance experience, the contestants that can't dance, the fake contestants, this forum and the fact I can never get tickets because they are all given out to people working for the BBC.
I only like Matthew Cutler and Kristina Rihanoff and think they should do the entire show by themselves. ![]() other than that I love Strictly. ![]()

I hate the SCD version of the rumba where two people stand around posing (Len - that's one thing I agree with you on). It's such a beautiful dance and SCD does it a disservice.
I hate Craig's hair when it is in that sticky up gelled style. I hate posts which use the But I like the ![]() and smilies!

I hate Tess's wooden interviewing technique, anyone who has a 'journey',freeloading celebs getting tickets to the show, Bruce's scriptwriters, Matthew Cutlers bleached hair....
Love Quizmike and his threads though

I hate Tess drooling over the male celebs, Brucie explaining his latest joke, just so you know he made one, and the doddery I am not catchphrase. I hate the repetitive clips and Len's questions on ITT, when the contestants/pro dancers could be given longer interviews/items and I hate that there is no final ITT with the winners. (Sorry not very humorous but glad to get that off my chest)
On a non-SCD note, I am totally with those hating the socks and sandals combo - particularly combined with shorts! |

I hate the dizzy cameraman. And people on here who blame reporters for 'making up' all the SCD stories the PR people have leaked to them.

I hate the looooooonnnnnggggg pause before the next person is announced. I too hate the stupid camera work. I don't like Bruce's comments and attempts at jokes - hang up your dancing shoes Bruce!

Nay nay and trice nay. I am suggesting that sock and shoes or trainers is the most acceptable solution. I do not want to see hairy crooked toes and yellowing nails thank you very much!

As far as SCD is concerned there are three things I hate (it started as one thing and then the other two popped into my head
) - 1. Female celebs that flirt with anything in trousers (even Brucie) and put on a girlie 'little old me' act - yuk grrrr! 2. 10s when even a non-dancer like me can see mistakes ![]() 3. People who vote for celebs because they -

Made them laugh or thought they were entertaining
Are such fanatics it wouldn't matter if they never even showed up that night
Want to rebel against the judges
Thought they tried hard and felt sorry for them and wanted to encourage them
Cried or nearly cried
In other words any reason that is not "I thought they danced well". ![]() God I sounds so bitter! ![]() Outside SCD I hate bad spelling and grammar (can't help it! ) and I don't mind men's bare feet as long as they have cut their toenails nicely - but no socks with sandals please!![]() PS I will probably have to post on here again later!

I hate the false, gladiatorial booing/cheering from the audience whenever a judge says something controversial - leave that the the X Factor audiences please.
I hate the false arguing & sideswipes between the judges - leave that to the X Factor judges please. I hate anything that even begins to suggest that the programme is going even close to the X Factor style of things. I hate the continual recapping. And I hate the fact that every year we seem to have at least one celeb pull out, and yet no-one in the SCD production team seems to think that leaving us with a two-couple final is rather silly/exhausting/less than entertaining |

I always vote for Ian, no matter how poorly his celeb dances - well I would if I actually voted for anyone in the early stages that is! But I did agree with points one and two!

I hate the fact that Ian has not yet won Strictly, and that every year he seems to get mutant amazon women!

I hate the endless recaps.
Recaps, recaps, recaps! Recaps on Saturday, recaps on Sunday, and then ninety percent of Monday's It Takes Two is a recap, and they recap it every bloody day after that, even when it's the end of the week and no-one gives a monkey on a rock any more! And my nan calls and SHE gives me a recap, even though the only reason she started watching in the first place was because I did, so she knows full well I already know what happened but just in case I fell down the stairs and gave myself amnesia or something*, she wants to tell me (not useful information, mind, like my name or anything. Just what happened on Strictly). And then, typically, my mum realises halfway through the week that she didn't watch it and asks me to give her a recap. *this is the reason. I said, 'Nan, I watched it on Saturday, I know what happened.' She said 'I know, but if you got amnesia you'd be grateful.' |
