I have the above model and am being sent by ITV Digital (On digital) what they now call an adapter (CAM) and a smartcard which will go into a slot in the back of the TV. If you buy an IDTV at the moment ITV Digital are offering 6 Primary channels for free for 6 months with no obligation to subscribe after that period.

ITV Digital don't charge for the CAM or the card for the first 6 months as there is some special offer on. After that as long as you maintain a subscription to ITV Digital you will be allowed to keep the CAM and card much like the arrangement with the digiboxes.

As for using Pirated cards I develop software for a living and have very strong anti-piracy views. Using pirated cards/software etc is cheaper for the consumer but at a cost. The more people pirate stuff the less money goes into R&D for new products so the less products are eventually available for the consumer. Apart from breaking the law you are harming consumers as well as those who develop such products (such as myself). Personally I feel that piracy is no different to theft and I would encourage you and others reading this to use genuine products.

My CAM was not delivered with the TV, I had to contact ITV Digital. I got it this morning and haven't tried it yet. There is no contract but if you have it more than 6 months you will have to pay to use it or they may well want the CAM back.
