The Beatles - Yellow Submarine. One of the first songs I can remember that isn't a nursery rhyme I think. Kinda explains why I've grown up to be a fan of The Beatles, though I'm more likely ot be caught listening to Tomorrow Never Knows or Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds these days....
Michael Jackson - Billie Jean. Was really into Michael Jackson when i was about 7 or 8, and this one stood out for me the most, amongst others. |

I lived most of my childhood life in a country where English wasn't the main language so I have very few English songs to assosciate with it, other than by the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls whom my mum loved

![]() but was shocked to see other posts with this choice too, anything by them brings back so many memories of a young 12 year old girl, even though my tastes have changed they introduced me to my love of music!

I'm quite young anyway but ..
Spice Girls - Mama. It used to play at the end of my Spice Girls video and I'd cry because it meant the video was ending and I hadn't yet quite grasped the concept of rewind. ![]() S Club 7 - Bring It All Back. Played at every birthday party I went to from the age of about 6 - 9. Steps - 5, 6, 7, 8. Endless dance routines to this one in the playground.

Primary school discos for me were in the late 80's - 90's so Vanilla Ice & MC Hammer were the main ones + Kylie, Jason, Sonia, Big Fun basically any SAW act!
(Too many songs to mention!)

Steps, S club 7, Eminem. I had no musical taste of my own at that stage so it was whatever my brothers were playing.

Depends how young you're talking about but I have strong memories of my dad blasting Dire Straits 'Brothers In Arms' when I was around 5 or 6 in the mid-80's. I still love that album to this day
![]() If you're talking about teenage years, then Britpop for me too, bands from the 90's like Oasis, Blur, Pulp, etc. |

I have memories of my sisters playing Motown singles, Dusty Springfield and the Carpenters and my brother playing the Beatles' White album.

My earliest recollection is 'Smoke Gets In Your Eyes'. My mother's favourite, though she did play around with the lyrics a bit to make us laugh. |

S Club 7, Aqua and Spice Girls songs. Can't stand Aqua any more now and I don't really listen to S Club 7 but I still listen to the Spice Girls sometimes. Now I prefer dance or R&B to cheesy pop though I like girlbands like The Saturdays and Sugababes.

The Ventures - Walk Don't Run 64 and me thinking how cool I was with my transister radio stuck to my ear as I went to scool. The radio was always tuned to Big L 266. I now realise I looked a complete pudding.
