Nightmare, 2 weeks I've had the box, and twice it hasn't recorded Click at 4.30am on a Sunday morning.

This is the only time they show the full program, the later editions being cut down versions, and my Humax HDR just doesn't record them even though they are scheduled!!

It seems to record everything else it should except for the ITV HD stuff after the new scan last week (I didn't know about that bug at the time), it's just Click on BBC News.

Anyone else have this issue or know why it is happening??

I take it you are trying to record Click via Series Link? If so, then you are out of luck, the BBC through their wisdom do not maintain full EPG meta data for the news channels, including Alba, which will result in Series Link failing.

The HDR will offer Series Link as the EPG indicates a series availability. It is unclear if the HDR's firmware is partially at fault for 'intepreting' the available data incorrectly, but without knowledge of the Fressat+ specification it's impossible to tell who's at fault!

If you wish to record your programme each week you will have to select, 'record once' and then edit the timer to a weekly event.

There's a thread awhile back, which goes into some detail about the efforts taken to find out what was happening, but you'll have to search for it, if you really want to know!

Also note that the 11:30am Saturday show is usually the full version, except when the crop it for breaking news.

Yes, I think that's the one I recorded and it seemed to be the full version.

It would be interesting to know if this programme will record (series linked) successfully on the Panasonic Blu-ray recorders.. Any takers?

Hmmm at least I know my box works the same as all the others, I'll just have to remember to set it each week. Thanks for all the info.

Do I presume that the Humax uses different series link info or the same info but in a different way than a Sky+/Sky+ HD box, as my old Sky HD box used to series link Click every week with no issue. If only one set of info is transmitted then this would suggest a Humax 'bug'

At least I now know the workaround. Thanks to all.

Likewise, "Click" records OK for me using "Series Link" on a Sky HD box (11:30am version). As a test I have now set my Sky box to "Series Link" the Sunday 4:30am show.

Graham.

No need to do it each week...
Set it once, then just update your timer to "weekly", instead of "series".
(go to schedule, select Click, hit Yellow to edit, select the repeat option, and use right cursor until it shows "weekly")
