There is an email address and postal address in the mail today, of where to complain about the removal of Arlene and replacing her with Alesha.

Hope those people who don't agree with it email/write complain.

They will not, everyone is talking about it and no one is really doing anything...

Compare it to everyone whom has said they wanted SCD back to Blackpool... Several threats etc have started. I started an online petition and hardly anyone signs in...

Talk, talk and no action.. Why? I think it is because people think it will be useless, but if no one is doing anything nothing will happen.. imo...

I don't see what they would do about it now anyway- Alesha has a contract, and besides they'd lose an awful lot of face if they went back to Arlene now.

I think it is too late for it to make a difference, but wouldn't mind emailing or writing to complain.

Can you tell me the address as I don't get The Mail.

Many thanks.

I sent a complaint to the bbc a couple of weeks ago, as did a number of others on here and the bbc message boards. From what I can gather we all received the same bland, standard reply which in some cases did not even answer our particular questions.

It is sad that they did not answer your questions. Indeed katie_p they probably will not change it, but why not speak up and let your opinion know??

Maybe it is having an effect: BBC panic at size of Arlene campaign

I doubt it will change anything, but at least it will make the BBC stop and think before making too many more changes in the name of entertainment rather than dance.

I am going to write to the BBC and am quite prepared to sign any petitions about this.

I love Alesha but she does not have the credentials to judge dance. Frankly I am disappointed in Alesha, I know the entertainment industry is fickle and performers have to grab what they can while they can but it seems wrong to me that she has been so prepared to step into Arlene's shoes. It's not like she is short of work. Had she been replacing Tess Daly, that might have been acceptable, but Arlene actually helped her to win SCD. It's dreadful. If I knew where to write I might actually write to Alesha and suggest she pulls out.

What are we going to have now - ill judged and ill informed comments from a non professional dancer, accompanied by peals of manic laughter in inappropriate places?

I may write in & complain that I want more changes & like Alseha being on the panel! The complaint I would make is that there are too many older men around, get rid of Bruno, Len or dare I mention it Bruce imo. (Yes I am ageist & I don't care ).

I agree with you. I have emailed
'trust.secretariat@bbc.co.uk' for the attention of Sir Michael Lyons. I really think if we dont agree with what is going on then we should write in and say so. Ok so it might not make any difference but how will we know if we dont try? If everyone who disagrees actually wrote I would think they would get a very large number of complaints and it would make them think!

I have emailed the BBC about this, also signed a petition. I don't know if it will do any good but I've tried.

Alesha must be feeling really good about all this... I feel sorry for her to be honest.

What utter rubbish, so it would be ok to replace Tess and take her job, but not ok to take arlenes job,

WOW, 36 people have commented on the daily Mail website, a number of who were in support of Alesha or in support of the decision to replace Arlene, hardly earth shattering statistics is it. Remind me again of how many viewers SCD gets, oh yes 10 million or so, your position gets weaker by the day

......because as many people on here and the bbc boards believe, and have said, Alesha might be suitable for a presenting job, but not to fill Arlene's role as a judge.

Read the comments from the BBC, Alesha will be there to give her opinion on the performances and for her experience of the demands of the show, a different role from Arlene.

I have read the comments from the bbc and remain unconvinced by their statements, as do many others

Of course why would you want to believe them ?, If you believed them then you would have nothing to moan about for the next few months till the series starts and you are proved wrong

I have given my opinion, and because it doesn't coincide with yours I am "moaning"?

I'm getting a bit fed up of your rather aggressive style of debate, so not going to bother responding to you any more.

Have a good evening.
