Oh excellent -looks like we're either getting a group of timelords back-Or a full return for Gallifrey-so hope it's Gallifrey .

Why would he be playing two roles? Running out of actors are we? Stafs,
Spoiler
Time Lord refers to his character name.

Give that he works as an Extra his character won't have a name.

So he is one, singular.

Say what??
Spoiler
The Doctor
is one. If this unnamed extra is one too, then there's two
Spoiler
Time Lords
Plural. Stafs' observation was flawed.

HAHA Brilliant piece of detective work vaughn! It confirms that we know they'll be appearing anyway! Whether as memory/dream sequence or 'returning through the dark'..it's exciting!
I do like this actor too, I've seen him on other shows and he does have a distinguished look about him! It's also become something of a DW 'tradition' to recast actors in other roles..I mean look at Freema and Karen for a start!

Not my style to claim the credit. Work was done by a poster on Gallifrey Base

Then I admire you all the more for that! Thanks for sharing it then!

Well i'm just thinking they would never have Timothy Dalton in a dream sequence cameo would they?

So hope Gallifrey is returning through the dark .

Or the gate. Isn't there a gate? I heard a gate mentioned. Particularly RTD and his gate agenda.

Gallifrey Base has also reported another site containing the actor's cv in which he is listed as playing
Spoiler
Leader of the Council
. So either we're going to be seeing timelords, plural, on Gallifrey or find that half of Gallifrey is hiding out on Earth working in local government. As good a place as any if you want to disappear without trace.

Or they are hiding behind that Silver cloak thing mentioned in DWM

Oh very exciting -Are you suggesting a whole Gallifrey community on Earth? love it!

Hope we see Gallifrey back though .

Yep RTD said in a Radio Times interview last Christmas that the Gate is waiting for Ten ..

Hmmm, gates and cloaks, both things which can be used to hide or conceal behind.

Given how RTd does like to torture his hero I wouldn't be surprised if the ultimate big bad at the end of his time in charge of the series is the very people who the Doctor has spent 5 years mourning.

I really like this thread! Great comments.
What do you think about RTD's remark that the 'big bad'( Loved that term btw DICKENS!) had 'been in every episode'?
In every episode we have had humans, and of course...Timelords
( even if there was only one of them for most of the series..)

Well there was fan speculation a few months ago , put in spoilers in case it is true that ,
Spoiler
the cliff hanger ending to part 1 of the xmas double bill , involves several people opening fob watches at once. Perhaps something to do with instructions in Verity Newmans book?

I think its inevitable the Gallifrey will be back, in full.
I think SM will take Doctor Who back to its roots, so to speak.
He's wanted the job since he was seven, its gonna be rooted in his brain.
Doctor/Tardis/Gallifrey/Timelords.
But thats just me, I may be wrong.
But when Carmen said those cryptic words at the end of PoTD, I was pretty certain. I mean what else could it be?

When was this remark made?[/QUOTE]

Corwin, I'm pretty sure it was the Radio TImes joint interview he did with DT - I may be wrong about the exact interview but I know I read it as it jumped out at me!

I'm just an occasional poster-I don't claim to be an authority or a hard core DW fan. I just enjoy the forum, so apologies if, in my enthusiasm, I haven't attributed the RTD quote correctly
