By the way, I have now discovered the Prince song that Darren did!! Its called Strange Relationship!!!

The Prince song he covered was I Wish U Heaven. He wrote Strange Relationship himself.

I loved Savage Garden and still listen to them occasionally, prefer the first album to Affirmation though. Loved Darren Hayes's first two solo albums but thought his double album was a bit self indulgent.

I loved Affirmation and Truly Madly Deeply. I haven't really heard their other stuff. Those were the most exposed tracks from what I recall.

I remember hearing Truly Madly Deeply on the radio just before my mum died and she said she loved the song. If my husband and I decided to renew our vows and have a "proper" wedding then this could be our first dance song, it would be my mums contribution to the day. It is a beautiful song and thankfully I do like it too

I remember them being a band girls liked when I was at school.

Naturally, I couldn't stand them and their bland, soulless, pandering, obvious, dull, wet music.

None of the cool girls liked them though

One of the great things about pop music is that it can have great associations for the listener. I associate Savage Garden's 'Affirmation' with driving my kids to school.

I am encouraged that a few of you have mentioned liking To the Moon and Back. I had been concerned back in 1998 that it would remain overshadowed by Truly Madly Deeply but thankfully both songs were among the top 30 selling singles of the year here.

And bad associations too.....every time I hear Jessie Ware, it reminds me of my ex

Savage Garden were such an amazing pop band. This song is truly amazing and incredibly underrated amongst their singles.

As someone who has a severely disabled brother I love how he signs at the end of the video reinforcing the message.
