I've posted this reply on the Jay Hunt thread but it probably fits better here.

I think ITT struggled last year as they didn't stick to spots that were tried and tested. There are loads if things that have worked really well on ITT that have been axed at the expense of ridiculous guests desperate for air time. IMHO the kind of thing that should make up the back bone of ITT is -

* An interview with the eliminated couple
* An interview with each of the remaining couples every week (even if the celebs have other work commitments this should be part of their contract)
* An interview with any new pros so we find out a bit about their background (that applies to any of the existing pros that haven't been 'done' yet too)
* Eliminated pros commenting on the previous week's choreography
* The Superfans judging on a sofa in someone's house
* Good coverage of the training and not just once a week - at least once early in the week and at least once near the end of the week with judges's commenting on the training VT
* I could even cope with Len's Masterclass if the rest wasn't tosh (btw he must give up DWTS imho)
* Other clips like the one that showed Darren and Lilia's house (and all the pugs)
* Celeb guests who are true fans like Marian Keyes and Pauline Quirke or previous contestants (but they mustn't be allowed to sit on the fence and not say who they like)
* A decent Friday panel including the wardrobe woman showing the drawings of the costumes and swatches of the fabric to be used

I'm sure others could add more, but the point is lots of people like this sort of thing and many more don't like what the ITT producers have been giving us.

Properly organised 30 minutes would be fine and I don't see any problem with having a regular weekly format where we know (roughly) what kind of thing will be on each day.

PS I really don't get why we don't have a post finale show.

i think half an hour a day is fine. if it was on for an hour every day, that would be like 6.5 hours of strictly per week, which is way too much, as much as i adore it. i do think they should cut some of the rubbish bits out, like 'ask len' etc etc.
