I recently updated to the latest firmware on my 3xTF5800's, all are about 3.5 years old with 160Gb drives, the red LED no longer emits when the unit is in Stand By and the TF5000 Display TAP also continues to run in Stand By, I disabled the TF5000 Display TAP just in case it was causing the problem but the red Stand By LED still does not emit, I have the latest Tap's installed and the only thing I haven't tried is removing all TAP's but I somehow think it's to do with the latest 5.14.09+ firmware, any one else had this problem and is there a fix, thanks in advance for any advice.

I think that 5.13.** is the most stable firmware. You may get quicker advice from the Toppy forum at www.toppy.org.uk, that's where the experts "live".

@shithappens

I've PMed you. But I see you've kind of answered my question above. Are you sure the one you got recently is that old?

As above, you want to be using the Toppy.org.uk recommended firmware (5.13.65T, which was from April 2009). Running any flavour of 5.14.X is not recommended for many more reasons than just the cosmetics of the red LED.

A proper standby mode could be patched into 5.14.09 (like it has for the TF5810's 5.15.09) but TF5810 don't have the option of using the more stable 5.13.65 firmware.
