My hard drive is rapidly filling up and I decided to do a bit of house-keeping. I seem to recall that about a month ago I was able to get into a method of deleting files but I can't seem to get back there.

Even got the book out and tried to follow the instructions on page GB 59. No Joy !

So please can I ask for help.

Go into media, press the opt+ button, then follow instructions once your on the correct screen press the yellow edit button and go to each item to be deleted and press select, then press the red button.

Hope you understand this from my description.

Or in the Media folder highlight the programme you want to delete, press OK and you’re given a choice of playing from last place, playing from start or deleting.

The delete does not show up if you are recording something at the time.

Or, if you have folders with lots of finished series episodes in them, go into File Manager with Opt+, navigate to the folder, and press Red to delete without opening the folder; it will delete the whole folder together with all its contents in one go.

This looks like the easiest way to me. Thanks for the continuing help

You don't have to

Both panes don't refresh real time. Just delete it from the left pane, when you then press Exit to get back to the ordinary Media List, it will have gone.

And from me too: I'd been doing it the laborious way.
