Did anyone see the Luvvie awards on ITV ? Kate was up against two other's for an award and she won it, basically it was for an almost non-existant career, they made a point of all her gaffes etc; and I think it was her footballer boyfiend who smashed the award, but can't say for sure as I don't know what he looks like, but it sounds in character.

So to whoever said Kate was going to be back on tv soon...you got it right

ohh, some crappy little program decided to have a go at the nations favourite, so what? It is understandable that some rival TV execs would have it in for Kate and decided to set her up, it is more than likely that Kate proberly turned down their tat and they decided to get revenge.

I'm reminded of when some tossers tried to make Alex (Sibley)look a fool on TV, in the end they only made themselves look foolish as Alex handled in marvellously. The same goes for Kate and her boyfriend (?) by "treating" the award with the contempt it deserved.

As Kate will be back on prime time TV very soon anyway, who are these people trying to kid?

said without the slightest hint of irony!

Of cource such concepts as the "nations favourite" are hard to quantify, but I think its accepted fact.

I would hate this thread to get bogged down discussing things I wrote so please substitue "nation" for "those in the 16 - 40 age bracket"

Kate won the prestigious 'Your Time Is Up' Luvvie award.

She didn't appear to be too pleased. A thuggish looking person accompanying Kate took the award and smashed it on the pavement.

May I add that I am absolutely delighted to be amongst the first on this Forum to congratulate Kate. Well done my girl.

Any show that is to be presented by Rona Cameron is bound to be a pile of shite. I didn't watch it at all - what the hell has happened to Saturday night TV?

If I'd known Kate would be on I would have watched. I always like to support the BB3 crowd.

I wonder if it will be on again?

darling ... it was pure magic. Fantastic TV. Other celebs received their awards with good manners. Kate & Vinnie Jones were the only ones to disgrace themselves in front of millions of TV viewers.... not for the first time of course.

PS - I think that it may have been called 'the nice knowing you' award and not as I described earlier. Rhona seemed to be calling it all manner of things.

I was otherwise engaged and did not get to see it-I did not even know it was on-is it screened again at all?ITV2?

two thoughts
these things are often quite choreagraphed so....did the fearless daredevil join in with the fun and choose a strop to be one of the ones most remembered.......?

or
maybe if accosted on the street- she was a bit frightened at someone barging up to you saying "Your time is up" or "nice knowing you" or whatever.sounds a bit rude and you have to be a bit careful.

Is it not true they have to sign release forms for anything to actually be shown? so Kate would have Ok'd the screening.

there is no one less like a "Luvvie" than Katie-everyone knows that-she is incredibly straightforward.

isn't it ironic-don't you think?

Thanks Eejay, I'm very sorry I missed it.

Its nice to see Kate getting a prime time TV gig. She's usually been hidden away on morning TV on the lesser channels.

I saw most of The Luvvies and was pleasantly surprised as to the humour and good grace the 'winners' displayed. Not a great fan of Ben Affleck, David Blaine or Peter Brame, Jodie Marsh or Chris Ewbank - but they all took it with dignity and a sense of fun and irony - it was good TV and they all went up in my estimation. Even Brame had me in stitches with his bizarre Fabreeze thankyou speech. I even like Ben Affleck now!

All, that is, except Vinnie Jones the air-rage thug who warned the crew that they were trespassing even though they were on the road outside his property. Doughnut.

And BB3's Kate Lawler, who hurried past with a quick sarcastic "thanks" for her award to mark the end of her broadcasting career before snapping "It doesn't finished until next week. You should get your fact right". (As if a week make a difference!)

Her male pal then broke the award against a tree and left it before getting in a car. It was not only a sparkling demonstration of Kate's total lack of sense of humour and ability to self-depricate (Remember Jade gigglingly accepting her "Most Minging Thing" award at the Smash Hits Party? Brilliant) but made Kate look like a stroppy kid who'd invited everyone to a swimming party only to find that someone had pooed in the pool.

If A-listers like Affleck can get the "Luvvies" joke - ex-reality TV contestants surely could...

Or seemingly not.

Her friend did drop the award. If he caused it to break I do not know, but I suspect it was damaged by the film crew to make good TV.

I think Kate acting entirley properly by treating the "award" with contempt. Kate doesn't need to grit her teeth and demean herself by accepting such things, just to be seen on TV.

Once more Kate shows herself to be the true pro that she is and makes a stand against this tacky TV show and their bully boys. Good on you Kate! No wonder children in the playground all want to be like Kate when they grow up. Its also probably the result of their teachers and parents using Kate as a role model.

I'm sure it was all in the editing. She can't possibly be that dumb really. Oh, but wait, RI:SE was broadcast live. Must be some other explanation, then.

One thing it showed is that Kate has made enemies in the business. Many of those getting the awards were not actually the worst in their category - however, they were definitely the ones the judges felt they (and we) would get most pleasure from seeing humiliated.

Wonder who she's upset recently...

I saw it differently -

I wonder what megastar Alex Sibleys reaction would've been had he been bestowed such an honour..? (I suppose ANY Tv exposure is better than none at all)

Yeah I would hazard a guess and say that if Alex had received an award like this the forum would be updated with several posts congratulating him on "yet another tv prime time slot"

He's been a famous face since BB3 began. Not bad going to be getting a Saturday night ITV gig nearly 2 years later.

Compare and contrast with other BB3-ers. Or BB4-ers for that matter.

* For those not in the know , this posting was in response to Alex yet again STUNNING the world of television , re-writing the rule book and rocking the entertainment business to the core by .... eh handing out an award on a celebrity look a like tv show (yes that is not a typo , it really WAS a celebrity look a like tv show ) *

No I think you are wrong.
Did Alex not come first in the Colin Farrell section and win it-but did not progress into best of breeds.

I don't see why Alex has been brought into this thread..surely it's meant to be about Kate

Actually...although he didnt recieve a Luvvie, Alex was set up by the pilot show..and manged to turn the whole thing by reacting with grace and a sence of humour.....it would have been much better for Kate if ahe had done the same
darling

Yeah, but Kate wouldn't would she, because she's a miserable cow and too stupid to see the opportunity the luvvie presented if she acted gracious. She would do well to take lessons from Jade. As someone said earlier, Jade accepted a far more insulting award with humour and charm, adding to her fan base, whereas Kate will be remembered for her ill-humour and general oafishness.

I presume it was thugie who was with her and decided to smash the award - it sounds like his style. Can anyone confirm it? He sounds like a really nasty piece of work.
