Moving External BT Junction Box
Hi,
I am planning to have some work done on the house and come across a problem wth the external BT junction box. It is currently fitted on a wooden arch which is due to be replaced. I need this moved so it rests on the wall rather than the wooden arch. Incase I have used the incorrect terminology, there is a wire running from the telephone phone to a white box and another wire running from this into the property. I rang BT customer services a few times and got through to the overseas call centre. I have been given differrent information and dont know which is correct, varying from its not possible to I would have to order a new line. Could someone please help and advise how much I am looking at for BT to do the work. Would this be a fixed cost? I do not want to have to commit to another minimum tern nad want to keep my existing number. I have noticed that there is a BT Support user who posts replies on this form , perhaps they can assist me? Many thanks in advance. |

As far as I'm aware, BT Retail will have to get Openreach out who (I presume) have fixed costs to do certain work. It could be cheaper getting a new line installed though, so I'd advise you to look into that.

Hi salman1,
Will you send your account details via a private message and I will look into this for you. Openreach will have to do the work but i will contact them on your behalf and get some information. Many Thanks Donna BT Support |
