I know that this model Jordan is a big deal in the UK. But, quite frankly, we Americans are clueless as to her claim to "fame." I get the (erroneous?) impression that she's your version of our Paris Hilton.

Am I off base in that assessment?

Jordan is a topless "glamour" model who has had a couple of breast-enlargements done. She's also famous for being photographed in nightclubs wearing next to nothing and dating sport and pop stars. There are also unofficial videos of her indulging in "private" sex acts .

Two years ago however, she became pregnant by a Premiership footballer - Dwight Yorke - and their baby son Harvey was born blind. Jordan then found out she has a very rare form of cancer. She's since recovered.

She's not really comparable to Paris Hilton as Jordan doesn't have family weath and is self-made. Yet there are similarities such as the notorious sex vids etc and the fact that they thrive on publicity.

Jordan is a bit of a complex person. Speaking as herself (her real name is Katie Price) she said "Jordan is just a job. Tacky".

Never heard of Paris Hilton unless she is the one who figured in the notoriuus Jonathan Aitken libel trial - was she brought to his room with two thousand quids worth of champers and some peanuts, hard to remember now.

Having seen a few clips and read the summaries of some of Paris Hilton-on-a-farm series, I have to say Jordan is nothing like Paris-Hilton. Paris is a pea brained, empty headed spoiled little girl who has never done a minutes work in her life and wants to spend her life shopping. She also distrubuted a badly acted porn video to enhance her 'fame'.
Jordan is the complete opposite of the social spectrum. I think she must also have balls after last nights performance with the bugs and snake.
Neither of them are particularly good looking.

I think the main difference is Paris Hilton = Posh Tart
Jordan = Common Tart

Depending on your age I guess you might have heard of Jonny Rotten and/or Peter Andre but most of the others don't strike me as ever being big in America
