Ok, to me they are all great aspects that Robert has going for him.
1. Living at home with Daddy. Great, it's much cheaper living at home, so he has more money to spend on himself and others.

2. Has a second hand car. So do I, and it is through choice, cars lose so much value in depreciation, it is not worth buying a brand new car.

3. Works in the local garage. Again, great, he is earning a living in a skilled job, with the added bonus that he also gets covered in grease and wears very sexy overalls.

4. He don't know the meaning of the word fidelity. He's young, good on him I say!!!

5. And his total desperation to get any female into bed. As I said, he is young and playing the field.

in real life shes getting married to david dunn from birmingham city and shes only 18.

Cant see her cheating on him with Robbie Savage though.

She's young and thinks she is getting married in a little while, so why not play the field now while she can.
She will also realise that she picked the wrong brother, the duller, less sexy one.

If she thinks she still needs to play the field, why the hell is she getting married? And she's being so stupid, does she really think that she won't get found out, even if no-one else noticed it's not like Robert would keep his mouth shut if he saw a chance to get one over on Andy in the future.

i'd rather have the 'boring' brother with his own farm and some prospects who'd stand by me no matter what and wouldn't chuck me over at the first sight of another willing female.

Well I would much rather the sexier brother (Robert) with the better body, who is fun rather than the dull Andy, who spends his day out in the fields with the cows, mmmmm yeah thats a great life, I'd just love to be going out with him .

Well i guess no-one really wants commitment and security when they are young and immature. You'd think the whole nearly having a baby thing would have put her off settling down.

When will it be? I have read that Andy is to see Daz next Friday (13th Feb) in an attempt to persuade him to attend the wedding and is surprised at his reluctance to attend. As the wedding MUST be Sat 14th (screened 15th) when is she found out if prior to the actual event?

He doesn't love her at all. I didn't think he'd pretended that he did. He's just a lowlife user.

Well I'm certainly not married, and sadly neither am I playing the field, though given the chance of course I would.
And I don't think that if you are playing the field, it means that you don't love the person you are with, you just want to gain more experience and not miss out on things whilst you are still young.

Like Katie hasn't got it through her head how Robert treated Donna and Elaine. The 2-timing there, not to mention the car crash incident.

He hasn't got one redeeming feature, and it's nowt to do with his living status or job.

Best revenge for Andy would be to get Robert tied up in a field and spray him with manure in front of the village.

Katie will shack up at the Post Office / Cafe with the Queen Of Infidelity, Viv Windsor.

It's no wonder Robert cheated on Donna and Elaine, neither of them were very exciting as girlfriends, and neither were very good looking.
Katie on the other hand has good looks, a good personality, and it will also mean Robert can get one over on his bro Andy.

And as for not having a redeeming feature, you have seemed to overlook his sexy body, his good looks and his great personality.

Trouble is good looks don't mean personality automatically comes along with it. Incompatibility will often be there.

Andy is desperately trying to run the farm. He used to be the bad boy when he was younger and where did it get him ?

Trouble is majority of women in soap will fall for the same type of 'exciting' guy and misery is the end result.

People think that Andy is the better brother because he runs the farm, whereas Robert only works as a mechanic, but I would much rather a mechanic than a farm boy as a boyfriend.
At least Robert has skills, if your car breaks down he could mend it. What can Andy do, herd some sheep into a pen and muck out the stables, yeah great life skills they will be.

Not just in soaps! But i guess a sensible, non-shallow girl wouldn't be much fun, story-line wise, all that ever happens to them is they get screwed over or something else horrible happens to them. i'm trying to think of one nice female character who hasn't had something terrible happen to the in any soap.
i thought of Leah (sp?) in H&A but her husband went to prison, then got burnt to death and her baby was born deaf!

Well I don't think anyone is perfect.

Up till now Katie has been so worried about getting caught with Robert, yet tonite she ends up snogging him in the barn, in full view of anyone that happened to walk past, and didn't have another think about it.

Then when Andy returned with his 'Katie Forever' tatoo, she tells him he is an idiot because he wont be able to get rid of it.

It seems like she has finally come to her senses and don't want to marry Andy now. She is secretly hoping that she gets caught with Robert, and that Andy will then find out without her having to tell him, then he won't want to marry her, and she will have been saved from a fate worse than death, and can then settle down with the sexy bro that she should have chosen in the first place.

I suppose Andy does have quite a nice body, and those leopard skin knickers were quite nice too, but he is very white, and working on a farm, he must take his shirt off in the sun, and should therefore have a great tan.

If he had a tan, didn't work on a farm, had a personality and socialised a bit more, I might be persuaded to change my mind and go for Robert over Andy, but at the moment, my loyalties still lie with the sexy Robert.

Define young and immature? I was married and a mother aged 19, and it was exactly what I wanted. And I'm not "old" either - I'm still early 20's lol It might not suit everyone, but there are a few of us out there who want commitment and security

I am a relative newcomer to Emmerdale. I have had one earlier post and am still unsure of what will, or how for that matter, Katie solve the problems she appears to be causing for herself. Will she marry, get found out and dumped by Andy or what. You can bet your bottom dollar that Robert will not hang around for long following a breakup. Where will Katie live, & Robert for that matter as "adopted" Dad Jack won't be too happy with him.
My prediction? Wedding off at the last minute, Katie thinks she has a future with Robert for a while, Robert strings her along (for his own ends) Katie finds she is pregnant - again and on her own. And all this before the end of Feb. Any comments??

According to the spoilers, hasn't Katie got 4 "hunks" (Inside Soap quote) joining Emmie to look forward to when things (possibly?!! ) go wrong with Andy & Robert? (tho being a soap one of the "hunks" is sure to be gay/bi so that leaves 3. And also, what's the defi of "hunk"?). Has anyone seen piccies of the 4some?

yup i'm one of them, early 20's and with my life-partner. i had my fun, but i never, ever did anything that i knew would hurt someon e else, i would never cheat on someone long-term (i mean i might have got drunk and snogged someone else occasionally).
