Ooh can I stand the strain? When will the truth be out there, who is the father of Katies offspring and will we have a paternity situation ALA Charity?? Hang on, Katie isn't pregnant is she? It's too soon after the whole 'Noah's paternity' affair, another 'who's the daddy' plotline would just be a bit much. I'm guessing Andy'll find out about Robert and Katie soon enough though, especially with them all living together. Surely it won't be long before Robert and Katie give in to temptation again. Can't wait to see how this all pans out! |

she moves into the dingles? its a little farmhouse...how many bedrooms does it have? at one point they had Zak, Shadrack, Lisa, Belle, Cain, Sam, Chasity, Debbie, Charity and the dogs. Imagine the que for the toilet in the morning....oh i forget, soap stars dont use the toilet unless its for a storyline :P

With the fact that Katie will be kicked out by Andy because of the little beauty throwing it about like there is no tomorrow surely this is the ideal way to spin out the storyline rather than have the unfortunate Andy simply looking daggers at her and brother Robert following their betrayal and getting plastered every night. |

I can't believe that Robert & Katie have got away without catching Chlamydia, as babies can get chlamydia in their eyes and throats at birth. It is a possibility that Katie might get away with it if Donna, as it would appear, is the carrier but surely not Robert. They were at it like rabbits and there was certainly the suggestion that it was unprotected, what with the fear of an unwanted pregnancy. Bit of a weak ending to what was, initially, a good storyline. What will the little blonde slapper be doing whilst she is away at her Dads? Surely she won't be spending to much time in Emmerdale until she comes back to fall into Roberts arms.
Still think she will get pregnant and be dumped. |

Is this thread dead??
I simply wondered as it's that the finale seems to be approaching, or is there to be a final twist in the tail, so to speak??

Is this thread dead
See posting on 26th March re Katie, pregnancy & Chlamydia on the Emmerdale newsgroup.
Could it really happen following messed up results? The story can't, surely, fizzle out like the damp squib that seems to be approaching, can it? I mean Robert has done everything to prove to Katie that he loves her more than life itself by living with her best friend hasn't he? Is Katie thick or is it us?? Or don't the scriptwriters care anymore?? |

And clearly Andy is not keeping Katie happy as she has gone looking elsewhere. I just hope she comes to her senses very soon, and cancles the wedding, leaves Andy and moves in with Robert. And I think Andy's behaviour is causing many of Daz's problems, so I think Daz should go and live with Jack, or with Robert & Katie when they move in together. It would serve Andy right if he lost, Katie, Robert and Daz, and then had to struggle on the farm on his own. Jack always seems to stick by him, but hopefully Jack will see sense too and stick up for the better brother. i agree i think that katie should have been with robert a long time ago instead of andy her and robert are much more suited than her and andy p.s does anyone know any websites were i can find out more about the soaps plzzzz tell me i need to no what happens next

Not the greatest admirer of Robert and Katie needs a good talking to as a/several quick rolls in the hay, so to speak have suddenly turned into unrequited love for the young "lovers", but to terrorise a young child is definately a no no.
I have always predicted that the cheating Katie would suffer through falling pregnant, by who, or get a shock re the STD when futher tests reveal the results to be erroneous. I hoped that she would see sense when she was aware of how low Robert is prepared to go to prevent their little secret being revealed at a time when he would be accountable, rather than waiting for the present to be forgotten. But how about this from another site, BBC soap phschic "Puppet therapy Katie learns why Victoria's not talking - it's thanks to Robert's threats. Jack takes his daughter to the doctors. She's given a puppet to try and coax her to speak. Jarvis helps with her therapy. Further ahead... Victoria spills the beans on Katie and Robert. Jack hits his son. Robert dumps Katie. |

Poor Beauty Katie
I read in the telepaper at the weekend of a young girl who was addicted to the early ""butterfly in the stomach"" stages of a relationship. She said that she was hooked, could this be our local beauties complaint?? Remeber her conversation in the ladies at the pub with Chastity - where is she lately?)
On another tack, why when Robert (there's a big boy) dumps her does she still walk away from Andy without apparently giving him a chance to forgive her (he's soft enough to). Is that because of the fear of rejection, could she stand being dumped by them both?? |

I think it's pretty clear that the 'Robert dumps Katie' thing is only temporary.... at least for now (if that makes any sense LOL). Because Andy still has to find out doesn't he? Jack isn't going to tell him because he thinks he's sorted everything out so what are the odds of Andy walking in on Robert and Katie who just can't stay away from each other?
And I have to agree on Robert/Katie being alot more believeable than Andy/Katie. The characters and indeed the actors are much more compatible than in the former couple than in the latter. I think Robert is a tad devious and a whole lot manipulative but he's not an outright villianous character. In fact over the past few weeks, it's been clear that he very much cares for Katie. And the woman in question can be bratty and somewhat irritating but she's not an evil cow either. She can give as good as she gets with Robert though and for me it's been as much fun watching them row as it is watching them get all lovey-dovey. |

Poor Poor Katie
It would appear that Robert does regret his betrayal of Katie. Is it too late, will she end up as the village scrubber. If not I don't see a future for her in the soap.
I think that she is an amazingly beautiful girl but unless Andy, in time, forgives and forgets where can she go. There is no doubt that Robert will set his sites to a target that he will think is a little higher in Patsy Kensits new role whether he is with Katie or not as that relationship (sic) is bound to fail as a relationship cannot possibly be based on snatched moments. Remember that Andy was exciting when she couldn't regularly get to him either. It's the way of the world. It's also about time they put this storyline to bed as well. Oh by the way didn't you just love the scow that Victoria gave the beauty tonight - priceless!!! |

Oh by the way didn't you just love the scow that Victoria gave the beauty tonight - priceless!!! I have to disagree there. I can definitely see a future for Katie and it's certainly not as the 'village scrubber'. Although that is always a route the producers can take, it's certainly not the only one. If anything needed to be wrapped up, it was the Andy/Katie pairing because that wasn't going anywhere on it's own. Together, the characters had become stale and boring but apart and especially with Robert in the mix, there's a lot more potential in the storylines. I can see TPTB pairing Robert/Katie together, not only because if they split up now the last four or five months of build-up have been a waste of time, but also because as someone said earlier the characters and the actors work well together. I wouldn't be surprised if Robert's loan from the bank and his partnership with Scott in the garage goes sour fast and in a big way. Imagine Katie leaving the dull but dependable and reliable brother for the exciting but irresponsible one? They would certainly be a volatile couple and I'd much rather watch these two then Andy/Katie on the farm all the time. And finally, I really enjoyed last night's episode, it was justification for me that this storyline really has been worth it. The tension at the table was palpable and all the underlying emotions were subtle but beautifully played. Great viewing IMO. |

Andy/Robert & Katie
Why is it that it is not possible for a storyline of two young people battling and becoming triumphant against all the odds when they
1) take on 2) turn around and then 3) make a ""joint"" success of the Farm that has proved so difficult for all the previous occupants. Who knows they may even become the Nouveau Riche of the Village in years to come. There could be storylines building over the sale of land mentioned by Andy a couple of weeks ago. Why does it have to be that fast and loose always wins? Why is it that the "exciting but irresponsible ones" the ones (who ALWAYS leave a trail of broken dreams behind them) are to be shown as the acceptable option. Where have hopes, dreams and aspirations gone. The girl should pay her penance, realise what an absolute fool, liar, untrustworthy friend she has made of herself and return to Andy hoping that THE ONE WHO LOVED HER UNCONDITIONALLY will have her back. The one problem would be whether or not the probable lack of an unconditional now would affect there previously good long term relationship. |
