Well good old he man Robert was at it again tonight wasn't he. Pleading with daddy not to phone Andy and giving Katie the don't do it whwn she was about to come clean when challenged by Jack. And he is the one all of the girls want to plight their troth to. They, including Katie must be barmy.

Who knows they may even become the Nouveau Riche of the Village in years to come. There could be storylines building over the sale of land mentioned by Andy a couple of weeks ago.

Why does it have to be that fast and loose always wins? Why is it that the "exciting but irresponsible ones" the ones (who ALWAYS leave a trail of broken dreams behind them) are to be shown as the acceptable option. Where have hopes, dreams and aspirations gone. The girl should pay her penance, realise what an absolute fool, liar, untrustworthy friend she has made of herself and return to Andy hoping that THE ONE WHO LOVED HER UNCONDITIONALLY will have her back. The one problem would be whether or not the probable lack of an unconditional now would affect there previously good long term relationship.”

It's not a question of anything being acceptable or anybody winning though is it? It's a soap, if it's 'justice' you're after, doesn't everyone get their comuppence in one way or another? Anybody with an ounce of sense or decency knows that the affair is wrong but in the same vein I'm sure people realise that these things happen. People fall out of love, people fall in lust, people have affairs, people fall in love with other people. That's just a fact of life. If Katie doesn't love Andy anymore then why on earth should she go back to him? It's been made pretty clear that his hopes and dreams are not hers, she doesn't share his vision of their future. She probably never did.

And let's face it, how interesting would it have been to see Andy/Katie make a go of it at the farm? I agree with En Ami , the Andy/Katie thing had reached a stalemate. I certainly didn't find their endless conversations about the 'lambing' interesting. A reflection of real life farming it may have been but as tv entertainment it was as dull as dishwater. With other characters, I find myself rooting for that, take Laurel and Ashley for example. That against-all-odds mentality works for them as a pairing. But Andy and Katie? I've always thought they were mis-matched from the very beginning and again, I agree with En Ami with regards to the point that Robert/Katie has the potential to be more interesting. I for one remember a few years ago there was a hint of things to come between Andy, Katie and Robert just before the hit and run incident. There was definite sparks between Katie and Robert even then. Whether they last or not isn't the issue for me. I've just enjoyed the coming together of this plotline and the fall-out to come.

The plot has been absolutely diabolical to watch - except starting around now, when it's getting interesting. Until now, it's been tedious beyond belief.

Robert is an awful villain type. Kelvin Fletcher is a much much better actor imo and will hopefully show that in upcoming scenes. Likewise it's good to see Jack, an excellent actor, being part of a big story.

Katie and Andy were brilliant in 2002, the whole coming together of it etc. If the scriptwriters had any imagination, they could've easily given them strong storylines as a couple instead of irritating affairs. The Robert affair has been so predictable and obvious, but at the very same time, a bit unrealistic, if only for the fact it's made Katie out to be utterly stupid, along with all the rest of that gang really. A girl who had a head on her shoulders and who blatantly loved Andy going with someone who's a total [insert horrible name here] and not in a good way (unlike say, Cain). And let's face it, he hardly comes across as irresistable. Or a convincing (ha ha) "bad boy". Really really awful...
But it was preditable. And dull and boring to watch, until now..

Can't wait for when it all comes to a head..

Sorry but I think that Katie must be the thickest 6th Form Student in Yorkshire. Surely she can by now see through the lust stage re our Robert. He sways whichever way gives him the easiest ride/way out (of a tight spot) and will without a doubt have a dig, during his forthcoming live in relationship with Katie, at some other girl. Who knows who, it may be one of the King clan when they arrive or, as daft as it sounds, her good friend Chas who will only be out to show the beautiful one that she has picked a "wrong un".

To close I hope that Jack doesn't pop his clogs in May following the "attack". He is acting the part very well at the moment which shows that , given the chance, he can do well.

Jack won't die, there's no chance of it. He's an essential part of the show, and I don't think they'd send him off like this if the actor chose to leave...

I must say I've REALLY enjoyed the last couple of episodes, though. His inclusion in it all now has been great, and things are really getting interesting...

I feel sorry for Donna. I know that she is a bit of an airhead but I feel sure that any decent bloke would find her to be both loving and loyal ( Untill the scriptwriters change her of course)

Looks like sandman was right all along but, took a while for the storyline to start.

See that Robert has been at it again then. He just had to make sure that it was he who completely destroyed Andy's world.
He went completely against the agreement that he and the foolish (nope that'll be stupid) Katie made to spare everyone. Katie will very soon find herself dumped for Sadie (possible spoiler?) soon after she arrives, or one of her up market friends who will arrive. She won't be exciting enough for Robert in the not too distant future.

Katie will be dumped but take Robert back until she sees sense and walks out on him with both her reputation (sic) and confidence in shreds. Serves her right I hear, a few of, you say.

As drifter has previously posted Andy & Katie were good not too long ago and relatively strong storylines could have followed them for quite a while. Yes they could/would have had their ups and downs but they could (and maybe should) have survived as the strong couple that others admire and, indeed, were jealous of. Can any of you point out a normal couple in the village?? And please not Jack and Dianne because they have had their severe ups and downs with , probably, more to come.

What a tragic waste of future story lines. What of Katie, for instance, being pregnant with Roberts child and "steady eddie love struck" Andy standing by and looking after wife & sprog. Many stories there I would have thought. What about the possibility of twins, one Andy's and one Roberts. Believe me it is physically possible for a woman to become pregnant from two people at the same time.
