BB Germany To Run For A Year Says Endemol.

From the news site, Ananova ...

'The maker's of the German version of Big Brother are set to push the contest to a new level by extending the time spent in the house to a year.

The fifth series of the German show, which has had audiences in the past gripped with lesbian kissing and erotic scenes in the pool, is set to start on March 1 and carry on for a year, say Endemol.

Contestants are battling it out for one million euros, the equivalent of £690,000.

The participants will also be separated into three different housing units - including a survival camp, a luxury villa and an average flat.

All of the units will be set up in Cologne. Where each candidate will be placed depends on their "social status", said Endemol'

goodness a year

I think I would start to get bored with it ...

I know that is starting to happen with the salon, which is extended till March .. I'm getting bored with it now

and imagine being a contestant .... they'll come out after a year completely institutionalised .. they'll need all sorts of psychology support after that experience

I wouldn't wanna be the person who leaves at the end of Week 51 , that would be tragic. A year is way too long, who the hell would do it?

They better find a new person to set the tasks then - they could only think of pass the parcel for a 9 week show. 52 weeks and we would have a 9 week pass the parcel tournament.

On the other hand imagine it:

"Allison , this is Big Brother, the bill for things you have broken in the house now comes to £701,000"

Jonny " thats the 43 rd f....ing time I've been nominated"

Cameron " if they say that again I am going to put my hand over their windpipe...just like i did with the other 6"

Everyone " Shut up Brian - we've heard it 2004 times already"

Helen " and the problem with the theory that black holes emit radiation is that...."

Jade "Big Brother where is everyone? I hav'nt seen anyone for 7 weeks now. Are they hiding? I don't want to spend another 45 weeks on my own"
