yeh you top it up at any time in a month and then from then to the end of the month you get 300 texts and 300 free wap minutes.

Your month starts on the day you top up. ie if you top up on the 5th of the month it runs till the 5th of the next month.

If then you do not top up until the 15th of the month, the texts and WAP run until the 15th of the next month.

There are loads of adverts on ebay saying there is a 'trick' so you can get your 300 texts every month without having to top up.

Any ideas?

there was a post on this a while ago.. it doesn't work though, as im sure waster or smirnoff_11(?) will tell you. it had something to do with you changin the date on your phone but it doesnt work anymore as the date on the sim cards comes from the network. hope this helps.

A quick question regarding these free or very low price SIM cards.

I am getting one for my wife, but she is a low user, if she doesn't use all her credit by the end of the 30 days and doesnt top up?

She is not bothered about the free texts or wap stuff, just wants a cheap o2 sim for her phone.

After 30 days will she loose her remaining credit?, can she continue as normal after 30 days as long as she makes the occassional call?

Any help on this will be appreciated.

to keep your credit there is a minimum top up of £10 every 3 months

Hey )

I disagree with the previous comment that if you fail to top up each month you lose your credit. I recently got one of these sims and althought it hasn't been a month I did call 02 who informed me that if you don't top up you lose the 300 messages until the following month but you do not lose your credit. So if you top up on the 10th you get 300 texts but if you fail to top up on the 10th of the following month you won't get your 300 texts for that month.

Peace out

I think it's only subjected to a 180-day cut off if it hasn't been used to make or revieve a call.

Thats good then, she will make perhaps one or two calls a week so that suits my needs.

I believe it may take 24 hours before you receive the text and you MUST keep your mobile switched on.

The official line is that it takes about 24 hours to activate. Although from experience it is usually less

Please somebody can you give me the link to check when the 02 sim card is free. There is a link to buy it at 0.99p, does one has to pay for postage or is it free? I have just bought one from e-bay @£5 before I knew of this forum. Thanks

It depends - they are ocassionally free when you click the link, but most of the time 99p.

Is there a maximum to the amount you can order?

Will watch out for the link, 0.99p is still a bargain. I bought one for £1.50 on e-bay and paid £2.95 for postage. Do they charge for postage or is it 0.99 with free postage? Members who are on online tariff, please your advice are required. I have just send a text to charge my tariff to Orginal, how do I know that it has been changed, it's nearly 48 hrs gone and have not heard from 02. I have also not received a text regarding my free texts and that's well over 24 hrs gone. I have not tried to send text in case I am being charged. Is there anyway I can check whether the free texts have been activated, please. I am a newbie, I am not sure whether standard rate online original is .30p or .35p. Also what number of 02 is free, I understand customer service is charged at 0.50p. sorry about all these questions. May be one of you will be kind enough to answer my post. Thanks.

Do you have to complete a registration form before you can order? As it is asking me for my username and password.
