The Ostrich thread
metafis

Those ostriches, so obviously playing up to the camera, I bet if there wer'nt any cameras, they would have just sat there not giving a toss. But of course, as soon as the cameras role, off they go, pecking and squawking and generally making exhibitions of themselves. so fake!.

I heard the only agredd to do it, so that they could qualify for an equity card.

The one that pecked John's head, demended a lot more money than the rest...promising to give the viewers something "special". Not sure if the money was paid though.

They were seriously scary! Those pecks looked painful.

I know, did you see Ollie?

No need for all that robbing of Johnnys goggles stuff to get extra attention!

Rumours that ITV have offered him a leading role in their new children's series "Pecky, the Bush Ostrich" are yet to be confirmed.

I agree. I thought the challenge was quite rediculous. Putting someone in a pen with those animals could have resulted in some very serious injury (the claws they have on their feet are particularly nasty looking). I thought JL handled it really well under the circumstances.
