How scripted is this show?

Are Jordons boobs the only fake thing about this show? Or is it generally tactics?

Jordon was such a sure contender to be voted off early which would of damaged the show publicity wise, her saving grace was the spiders in the helmet. Coincidence or scripting that she was chosen so early on?

Then of course there is Kerry crybaby........didnt she know she was going to the jungle rather than a weekend at Center Parks?

Is this just a general tactic or have they got scripted roles to play. I am kind of thinking she will start of crybaby and then come back fighting...........her own personal journey in the jungle. Purleeze

But its great entertainment.

I think it's pretty obvious they've all had some form of "coaching" as to the roles they've been asked to play.

Also, the people who have been allegedly "voted" for the trials so far seems to be a setup too.

But like you say, it's all about entertainment and the viewing figures show they're doing a good job.

Cynics.

I can't see John Rotten rehearsing his part in a two week play. Or Jordan for that matter.

Maybe one or two had a couple of ideas for how they wanted to play it at the back of their minds but I think it probably all goes out the window when they get in there. Especially this year. The personlities in there are just too big.

Kerry won't be acting that way on purpose. How would it serve her? I'd limagine she's pretty ashamed of some of her behaviour so far, poor girl.

It serves her cos it gets her attention and keeps her in the public mind. How many posts on here have been about Kerry over say, Ruddock or Lord Whatsit or Alex Breast?

and how many have been positive?

They dont have to script it to be honest. waste of time, as celebs 'au naturale' is much more entertaining than any script.
Katie is getting lots of good feedback, but I think she is'nt letting go, shes very much 'in control' so far, and wary of what she says. I do think she's not showing her true self properly, I dont mean she's being false, but shes certainly holding back her real personality to some extent I think., still good luck to her, its a competition and fair play to the gal. its a game, so play it well!, which she is doing
Kerry is just being to much her self, especially emotionally for her own good really, I feel sorry for the girl, but I ask myself what she expected it to be like. A nice girl, but shouldnt be doing this really. Maybe she'll buck (I said BUCK) up though. We british like to see some spunk.

... it's more about what happens to all groups.

Groups are fascinating things and have been studied a lot. It is not just a collection of individuals. And things happen and sometimes happen fast.

There is always a 'cry baby'. There is always a 'clown'. There is always the bossyboots. There is always a quiet one, the 'liked' one etc. And the odd thing is that it's not always possible to know in advance who will end up in which role. That's a product of the interactions of all the individuals.

And what they think about each other will be different from the way we think about them because we're not in the group.

If they were all together for all of the time we the audience would get very bored because we'd feel we'd seen it all before on IACGMOOH2 or IACGHOOH1 (and we would have). So too with Big Brother.

BUT the eliminations change the dynamics. For instance, if 'cry baby' goes, then group dynamics demand someone else takes up that role. And all the relationships change. So we go on being interested.

"Jordon was such a sure contender to be voted off early"

I disagree with that, compared to the others in the show. She is hardly a "hated" figure either. Her image was on the front pages of at least 3 papers yesterday alone.

And that challenge could have gone two ways, she could have either freaked out, or got on with it.. she got on with it.. good for her.. and she has gotten alot of good press over it too. Anyone who saw the "Jordan: You don't even know me" thing that BBC made will alreaddy have known she is a hard girl (and I don't just mean her chest). Good for her, I hope she goes far in this.

Alex Best needs to go first.

That is SO true! I cant believe it's scripted.(And who said that Jordan was sure to be one of the first out? I cant see that).

There's nothing like Slebs stripped bare of all the hype to provide great entertainment. I'm enjoying this series (all 2 days of it) so far,

I cant believe how much I've changed my mind about Jordan and Kerry....sort of swapped my opinion of both of them.

But hey, I do that every year!

I like her I think she's a nice person, I watched her chatting to Lord Brocket on the live coverage and she was very endearing and pleasant.
So thats why *I* find her nice.
You probably have a different opinion, fair enough, but I like her

I don't think it matters whether the attention is positive or negative as long it's plentiful.

People vote for who they want to stay on, so those people receiving the most votes are going to be those who get the most airtime, and the most attention.

More people will associate with Kerry than Alex Breast because Alex has largely been anonymous and boring, even though Kerry has been a pain in the arse.

She does come across as quite genuine and sweet if a little soft and mollycoddled.

But, for some reason, when she has that really scared stare on her she reminds me of Wallace from the Wallace and Gromit cartoons.

If they are working to a script I reckon Kerry has got hold of Daniella's from last year, she is playing the sympathy vote card to a tee. Trouble is I felt Daniella was genuine and had some real issues, whereas Kerry comes across as a spoilt child. Who the hell at the age of 22 has to go into hospital for two days prior to leaving for Australia for stress about what the public might think of her????? Why did she still go through with it???I'm hoping she sticks to Daniella's script and walks very very soon.

I think Daniella was very different to Kerry. Daniella never moaned or complained about the bush tucker trials at all, she completed them without a murmur of dissent. She was more upset because she missed her family I think, thats why she left.

Kerry went into hospital for checks because she suffers stress related IBS(irritable bowel sysndrome). an extremely painfull condition, that needs ,in bad cases, hospital observation to make sure its not anything else.

Well I'm sorry but I do not think she should be in there then, if she has irritable bowel syndrome she would need to be on a special diet and it obvious she won't be getting it in there.

But this post is spot on too.

I'm A Celebrity is the EASIEST of the Reality TV shows to manipulate the result into whatever the producers want because of the positive voting scheme. If we don't see someone in an episode, then they are bound to be voted out. The only way they could make it fair would be to put in their contracts that everyone will have at least 5 minutes screen time each day or something like that.

And a large but negative reaction would help her sell ....what is she selling again?

Like everyone else, she's selling herself.

If it was a vote to remove rather than a vote to keep, then she would probably be favourite to go. As it is, there will be enough people who like her, largely due to her excessive air time, to allow her to stay for a few more rounds.

Sadly i think those who don't get much air time or don't manage to do something memorable with the airtime they get will be voted off first.

I agree entirely and if this is true then Kerry with her big mouth should be there 'til the end as it's always her voice you hear above everyone else's.

These shows always amaze me in a lot of way. There is a lot of cultures that develop (i.e the roles that people take) but whats even more interesting is when people get voted off.

Take Big Bro as an example. The ones with character and possibly a bit contreversial at times were the first ones out, thus leaving the show being (some might say....) bland all over.

Much as I hate to say it I feel that John will be the first to go because he is opinionated and somewhat on the screen more than the quieter ones.

Jordan is being Jordan, we just have to wait for Katie to appear, thats if she can seperate the 2..

At the moment Jordan is being Katie.
When she's Jordan she can get a bit stroppy.

Mike Reids script was.. 'just be boring and sanctamonious' and i must admit his ability to comply is pretty damn faultless.
