It was't used in All Stars, and IMO, was a wasted oppourtunity.

I'm glad it's back, it's a great twist, and even though I think it should have been kept secret, a bit like America's Player, where no-one else knew apart from the person (and then the person could have interupted the eviction).

Anybody else agree?

I was hoping they'd bring it back in a future season too. Boogie was an idiot for winning HOH on the last week that it could have been used!

The only problem is that the houseguests may figure out what the power is if they've seen All Stars, but I still think it's a good idea to have it again and hopefully it will be used (by Jordan preferably ) this time.

I am.. it didnt get used on Allstars, and even if it messes the game up, at least it'll probably see one of the gruesome three (Natalie, Jessie, Ronnie) get evicted.

I think it's pretty obvious that they only introduced it because the current events aren't going the way the public want. So of course I'm happy.

I couldn't stand Boogie from AllStars so even if he had used it I wouldn't have been happy. This time it's different.

I think its unfair. It really undermines the game when you have public intervention and the beneficiary is likely to be a housemate who has played poorly and has no game (e.g. jordan).

It would be better if the power was won like how Boogie won it in Allstars.

Saying that, it will go to Jordan and Jeff (who i like). Cant see either one lasting in the long term though.

I'm glad. They needed to do something because otherwise the series would just be left with the unlikable people.

This will help out Jeff and Jordan and if it is used this time, it could make for a very entertaining show.

Depends on your criteria.
In terms of making good TV, of course it will work.
In terms of "fairness" (whatever that is) it's biased towards the "motherhood & apple pie" HGs like Jeff & Jordan.

But the season started off bias by putting Jessie in and giving one clique an extra member. And that first HoH was totally favoured for the Athletes to win.

great way of putting it.

But Jordan needs to be out - she has no game at all.

It's a good thing for this season, because it was doomed otherwise. And at least this gives the minority HG's a fighting chance.

I think its a stupid thing to give so much power for nothing, basically Jeff is going to get it and try to get Jessie out. He cant win a HOH to save his life because his so stupid, will jus be given power to take a good player out.

The season 5 Americas choice to bring a player back was a better thing then just been handed a HOH like power for two weeks

Yes, I'm happy and I hope Jeff you get it and Jessie and Natalie become the targets. I liked people's sneaky and manipulative game play as long they're likable (i.e Dan, and Danielle Season 3).

Jeff has narrowly missed winning HOH twice now.
The other side have had the power for 3 weeks so what exactly do you want him to do?
When he was on the block he won the veto.

WIN A HOH, If he gets Jessie out that way fair play, but to be given this power which enables him to get Jessie out without him even having a to even veto himself of the block is riddicolous, Im a Jessie fan im sure your a Jeff fan, i would just like a fair deal if he is to get Jessie out.

"its great to come second, but its a geat loser, so it doesnt make a difference" Jeff.

I don't see why Jessie is there in the first place. If came in his season, then I wouldn't care. This is entirely different people and a different season, he shouldn't been there at all.

Actually, when you think about it, its not really giving anyone an advantage. They all have a chance of winning it, and if someone does use it, it probably will earn them a few enemies - apart from this weeks evictee, they are all jury members at least now. If whoever uses it uses it, they'll piss off whoever they get voted out, that person's allies, and possibly the HoH who's reign will have meant nothing. But they all had a chance of winning it, and I think that justifies it.

Its not like in BB8 when some housemates had enemies in the house and others didnt, or BB4 when a few of them (Dana, Nathan, Jack etc) didnt have an ex gunning for them. Thats when it becomes unfair imo.

I agree with that. I personally think they were just trying to milk a few more use out of a few contestants who were nowhere near worthy enough of appearing on Allstars whenever it comes back around.

It's obviously a way of rigging it to ensure Jordan and Jeff stay in.

My thought exactly, the game was taking its natural cause, now its all over the place trying to help the 2 people who were scrabling to stay in, but this week things had changed but CBS couldnt envisage that happening so they had to throw in the twist.

Well I think not only Jessie should not been back in the first place but he shouldn't have been HOH because he didn't even do the work to be HOH.

Well everyone had a chance to compete to have a chance to get an extra housemate to their team not the athelete faults that they are fit and healthy to be able to compete an edurance challenege and WIN it. , Braden had a chance but flaped it at the end. and that was his demise

But this Coup D'Etat is ludacris way of saving the favoruites of the CBS boses who seen them scrambling to stay inside the bigbrother house .

I think we should have waited for them to take out Jeff and Jordan not like they will be able to do anything within the game (other then bitch about the otherside and been picked off). Then we would have seen a showdown between Jessie and Ronnie that would have been something

It's not the producers favourites, its the viewers favourites. Nobody wants to see a Jessie/Ronnie final two. Ratings were already dropping during Ronnie's HoH week, if Jeff and Jordan had gone this week and the next, hardly anyone would be left watching.

Jessie has no right been in this season anyway. He's already had his chance, he was an unlikable dick last time, and he is still that same unlikable dick this time.

It may turn out that Jeff doesn't even need the Coup, if he, Jordan or Michele win HoH next week. So then Jessie can't bitch and moan (which he loves to do) about how unfair it was, if he is evicted next week.

Yeah it may turn out he doesnt need it but his getting it thats whats pissing me off right now, you dont deserve diddly squat until you earn it/compete for it/ WIN IT!

Yeah, i wasnt saying the final two i was saying after the dead beat Jeff and Jordan were gone then we would have a real game with the good game players and a legitamate strategy to try and get to the final. With the likes of Jordan whos the perfect pawn in big brother history and Jeff who didnt want to get his hand dirty the first week.

Jessie had every right being there, after his clique won a competition like the other three former housemates would have if their clique won it. I dont see why his unlikable more then Jeff who on live feeds constantly bitch behind Jessie back not infront of his face because he isnt built like a man to say it infront of his face and then squash it. Being a bitch doesnt win you a game! Only sore losers i was seeing was Jordans team who got played and torn apart then the producers stepping in for "ratings" sake, to help out a bit. What is this now Big Brother UK?
