This is a strange thing, hope someone can clarify this: the software version on my HDR is: HPRSFCI 1.00.03 whereas the software download on the Humax website is: 1.00.02??

How come I have a more recent version on my box than you can download?

The date is 6/02/2009, whereas the one on the Humax site is 10/11/2008??

I also don't seem to have a Non-Freesat mode in the manual tune section which my Humax Foxsat (non recorder) does have??

I have had many failed recordings and really hope they release an upgrade soon but was wondering how we will get this if the one on their own website is so out of date? Presumabley OTA but does anyone know any more?

I'm becoming less and less happy with this box and am even thinking of re-subscribing to Sky just to get a more reliable recording on the old Thomson HD box.

I got this box as a replacement for a Fortec Star Passion Plus (had to pay the difference obviously) so dont feel much like returning it and it seems to receive really well; it's just the recording.

The latest software is 1.03 but it's only on new machines. (It's never been OTA). You have to use manual tune to add non-freesat channels before the mode menu entry appears

As Graham said, they're going to skip 1.03 on the web site as its such a minor update.

The next update probably will appear on there when it appears OTA. I presume they'll call it 1.04 but who knows.

Bob-Cat intimated on here a few days ago that 1.03 contains no new functionality but enables something in the update process that will be needed for the next feature release OTA, so this 1.03 will probably be released OTA "soon".
