I too have an IT background and I know that resources, both financial and manpower, have a tremendous impact on delivery. And I also know that the suits, although saying they bow to customer pressure, don't, which leaves the technical guys as frustrated as the customer and in some cases more so.
So, for all you moaners, wind your necks in and stop going on. If your kit is faulty or, if it's not fit for purpose, return it and get your money back then use it as a deposit for the Panasonic.
Or, be patient. But whatever you do, don't sour this forum with your vitriol.
And NO, I do not work for Humax”
You know, it would make life a lot easier if the people who find no fault with Humax just sat back and enjoyed their equipment without having the arrogance to perpetually flood the forums with posts dictating what others should and should not say*.
If people have a gripe with Humax they are perfectly at liberty to express it.
It isn't the job of other forum members to censor those whose opinions differ from theirs*.
Apart from anything else their intervention only results in further 'Humax bashing' as people with genuine problems quite naturally ignore the censorship attempts and insist on making their point.
I'm still very satisfied with my Humax box and think it's basically a very good product.
I'm
not impressed with their lack of intelligent communication with regards to updates.
I'm do
not feel they have come close to living up to their reputation as a company that listens to users and provides timely updates - a factor that informed my buying decision..
I'm
particularly unimpressed by the smug "if you don't like it, take it back' attitude demonstrated by certain Humax employees.
* Yes, I do see the irony in this post but this is meta, innit?.
