I did a search to see if this had been done before, probably has somewhere..

My nomination would be Hayley and Roy in Coronation Street.

I really don't see the point of them, who do they appeal to..?

Do they even get fan mail?

Can't see the point in either of them..

comments anyone..

I disagree. Surely the worst soap characters are Tommy Harris and family on Corrie. Totally Pointless.

Me

They appeal to me. I think they're great. Very funny, great actors, and very true to life.

What's the point of most people?

EE: Definitely the Ferreira's, Tariq, Shirley, Vicky
Emmerdale: Ronnie, Elaine etc - can't remember their surnames but thankfully they've left already. Viv and Donna, keep Bob, he's funny.
Hollyoaks: the new family with the step brothers and twins who hate each other

probably loads more

oh yea i forgot about Sam Mitchell. Her character was so redundant for ages and now she is the godfather - mmm worse still it means Minty gets a bigger part and he really is the worst

They would have us believe that Sam is harder than MINTY (what a daft name) Remember her pulling the thug off poor Minty
after her refused to pay for recovering the snooka tables. My 4 yr old niece is harder than Sam "The Don" Mitchell

yeah Minty is such a gangsta name isn't it...

Remember the other week when they were having a curry - she was worrying her socks off about the fire at the club while he was content to continue to stuff his minty fat face

May I humbly suggest Eldorado's Blair Lockhead and his annoying wheelchair bound sister, Nessa.?

In fact, no I nominate THE ENTIRE BLOODY CAST (Warning - not for the nervous...) for the award.

Eldorado - a wasted opportunity.

oh yeah RIP Eldorado. That didn't even feature in my thinking cos it was so bad, yet so good.

Mind you, the wheelchair bound sister did ok as she did appear in the 2nd series of The office.

i think neighbours actors are ok to be fair. You have to take them in that context - but put them into EE, and they may look ridiculous

The Turkish guy Osman (an original in EE) who ran Ozcabs with his brother from the cafe.

Eddie, who ran The Queen Vic, and was knifed by Nasty Nick Cotton when he escaped from the room he had been locked in by Pete Beale to get him orf the drugs for good.

Madge Roberts, who was married to Alf, and died when she crashed his new MG sports car.

Jimmy Corkhill, for wearing the same denim shirt in Brookside for 20 years. Come to think of it Rod (the plod) Corkhill was terrible too, as was the original Lucy (I include Lucy as a sorbet to cleanse the palette before I go on).

Fred the barman in Corrie, who was often told by Mrs Walker to "bring round the Rover Fred".

Tiffany's ineffectual tosspot of a brother in EE, who was wussier than a very wussy person who has just graduated with honours from Wussy Academy, but wasn't really sure now what to do with his life.

I swear, I could go on.

Rudi

Auntie Nellie in Eastenders used to really irritate me.

Wasn't Alf Roberts' wife called Renee?
