I am sure you will have plenty of different subjects to post on once more info on the series becomes available, but in the meantime this is the hot topic, and as you agreed it is open to anyone to post on any subject. I am only exercising my right to comment, and i should be able to do that without bullying.

Arlene Phillips 'lands GMTV judging job'

Axed Strictly Come Dancing panellist Arlene Phillips is being lined up for a new judging role on GMTV, a report has claimed.

According to the Daily Mail, Phillips will be the main expert on the morning programme's new talent search The No.1 Family, which launches in the autumn.

Presented by Jeff Brazier, The No.1 Family will see musical relatives from around the country competing for a record contract with Universal.

A GMTV source confirmed: "There are talks going on with Arlene about doing something with us in the autumn. Everyone here is very keen but it is early days."

Phillips, 66, was dropped from Strictly Come Dancing after six series last month. She will be replaced by 30-year-old popstar Alesha Dixon when the new run begins later this year.

The BBC's decision has led to a public backlash, with allegations of ageism being levelled at the broadcaster and fans threatening to boycott the show.

Phillips has already signed up to be a Strictly expert on The One Show this autumn”

appears then that she is usefull in other areas

I hope one recent story on here is true and that Arlene tells the One Show where to stick their 'job'.

When other posters disagree - claim bullying!

perhpas you should now think of taking a holiday or getting a new perspective, you are giving out the impression that you lead a very boring life and have an unhealthy one track mind.
In other words Give it a Rest[/QUOTE]

maybe not bullying per se, but certainly an unnecessary and unpleasant response to a perfectly valid point. If you dont want to argue the point fine, but no need to reply in such a rude manner

Yelsel, I wasn't going to post on these Alesha/Arlene threads again. However I do feel that you can't accuse people of being rude when you make posts like the one below (in response to me on the Alesha poll thread).

It's these sort of posts which cause people to become frustrated. There's no problem with people disagreeing with each other, and newcomers are always welcome. That's what a forum is all about, but I do think we need to respect each other's views.

OK, I take your point.

I daresay the subject will be dropped as soon as the show starts and we can all start 'slagging off' the celebs, the judges, Brucie, Tess, the cameraman, the music etc etc etc. LOL

About the only thing very few people have anything bad to say about is It Takes Two!!!!!! Good ol' Claudia!

Thats the problem. Arlene has done enough musicals to comment on what works and whats poor, ham acting or just dull. However she would as you say end up pointing out that the choreography on DOI is pretty poor most of the time (they couldn't even manage a great routine for Ray their best ever skater last series and many people were not stretched or used properly)

Arlene was dreadful on SCD, hopefully whatever job she finds is something more suited to her.
