Fab idea for a thread!

I agree - but I still loved it!

As a matter of interest what would happen in a professional competition if a couple didn't complete their routine (for what ever reason)?

I didn't see the appeal of Zoe's Tango and/or her showdance.

I too like the Sunday results show.

Gethin was really overrated, and his latin was awful.I think he deserved to go out in the semi-final against matt.

I believe there IS an element of racism in the public vote, no matter that there are exceptions.

Spoiler
I liked Lisa's showdance the first time I saw it

I think ITT is rubbish, and has been for at least two years.

Well they certainly would not get 8/10 from two of the judges

Mark & Karen should not have been allowed to restart their Salsa after the mic got tangled

I agree with this. In series 3, Lilia's dress strap went ping and she danced while holding her dress up.

Oh agreed!!

The whole Latino Lethario thing is cheesy and embarrassing at best. Annoying and sleazy at worst...

That whole act seems even less amusing when you consider his personal life in the last year...

I know he has a mountain of fans but I just dont get that Latino Lover thing AT ALL!!

Ok here goes....

I didn't actually think Alesha was that good a dancer.

I wouldn't actually be that bothered if Bruce didn't return and think he is paid an absurd amount of money in comparison with the professional dancers.

I also agree that Austin's paso consisted of just a lot of stomping and grunting.

I actually feel much better now .

I clearly worded myself very bad if "wording yourself badly" is saying the total opposite of what you mean!

I love Gethin's jive!

Gabby Logan was robbed, her husband is the worst dancer ever on Strictly, John Sargeant looked like Fred Astaire compared to Kenny Logan.

Brucie and Tom are wrong Gene Kelly is much better than Fred Astaire. (possible not Strictly that one!)

Alesha is not the best dancer ever on Strictly, I think Jill, Mark and Tom are all better. Alesha just had the best stage presence.

Brendan is dull.

Karen says when she stopped it she didn't think they would . You're right but I'm glad they did.

They would be kicked off the competition or else have their marks cut by half.

No wonder you put spoiler tags on that one!

But Lilia's dress wasn't going anywhere - neither were M&K as they couldn't pull apart!

So why of why did they give them 8/10?

Didn't think much of Darren Gough as a dancer, thought quite a few in his year were better than him, Colin Jackson should have won.

I hate the showdances havent liked a single one they are all over hyped and frenetic and over the top its part of the show that I think should be scrapped.

Rachel was the best dancer tecnically to have ever been on strictly, if she could have shown a tenth of the personality of Alesha or Jill, and perhaps has slightly longer legs, she would have stuffed everyone into a cocked hat.

Also even though I loved Flavia and Gethin together on tour I MUST back up Stu in his defence of Camilla/Flavia/Gethin Flavia was dealing with a very different dancer on tour than Camilla had from week one in SCD, by the time Flavia got involved with Geth she was able to add more intricate bits to the Salsa for instance because Gethin was now confident he could do it, when Camilla coreographed the original Salsa on SCD she was not at all certain that Gethin would be able to bring out the confidence to pull it off so had to keep the routine a bit more simple.

Based on technique and not 'phwooar isn't he fit' criteria there should have been more female than male celeb winners...

I don't like Camilla....

Nor Vincent, although a few people have said that!

(Just to be balanced, I adore Erin Boag and Matthew Cutler!)

I think Zoe is the best dancer that has been on Strictly, and she should have won that year. Darren was not even the fifth best dancer that year; in fact he was pretty awful.

I totally agree. Mark was OK, but nothing special. Tom was just OK; his Paso was
