I am saddened by this. But I didn't like seeing her laden with duds after the great job she did with Ramps.

I liked Camilla and Karen

Edit: Sorry, just found the dupilcate thread, couldn't see it when I posted.

I don't think she got any more duds than any other pro. There's no denying Karen's talent but her 'dance face' puts me off.

Another ridiculous decision from Jaye Hunt- she clearly hasn't got a clue about what she is doing

I know for a fact she was asked back but pretty sure she declined. Also heard she is definitely still involved this year in some way.

I feel in my heart that this is probably more her decision than the BBC's she has always done the BBC Breakfast correspondant thing since she went out early in the last two series so maybe she will continue in that role...

She might do The One Show if Arlene tells them to stuff their job.

I thought that was probably what happened, but the 'media' will not let facts get in the way of a good story.

I never liked Karen anyway so won't be sad to see her go

If it was Karen's decision then I feel a lot happier about it than I otherwise would.

Will miss her though!

So true, although clearly Ms Hunt has a business brain she is currently being investigated as she had dealings with outside companies that have earned her a lot of money!

Mmm a conflict of interests there- if the DG of the Beeb had anything about him he would sack Jay Hunt- and after masterminding own goal after own goal she deserves to lose her job

Yes the people who appreciate dancing will miss her- what is malking me so angry is the pittance paid to the pro dancers by comparison to the money Ms Dixon is reportedly on- There has to be something wrong there

I'm honestly starting to think I can't be bothered with this years series. Unless they pull some fabulous celebrites out of the bag I'll see no point in watching. x

Nah that will not happen- apparently the celebs are only offered 25K for doing it

And what really is annoying is the money being paid to Ms Dixon

Are you kidding Hunt deserves the sack after what she has done to Strictly- and that dreadful Graham Norton show Totally Saturday

She's incompetent

i can probably take heart from the SCD scandle right now ,but with the others i thought TS was the best yet ,after all the channel controllers they been through now shes the only one thats thought about it, & a replacement for TM. my hat comes off to her

Oh so she thought Alesha for Arlene would be a good idea

That was a massive cock up on her part

What she is showing is to be is too obsessed with young people- she is forgetting the mature audience that SCD has-she has probably cost the show more viewers than she will accrue

I have nothing against Alesha- but I do have something against the way Arlene was treated.

You tell me that Jay Hunt handled that well

I know how you feel I usually love the build up to Strictly, trying to guess who's going to be involved and watching out for the first promo clips. I might have to try and find something else to do, which will astound my boys who normally try their best to get me to switch over to the X Factor. You might win this year lads

BBC = idiots. SCD will hardly be worth watching any more.

and tbh, louis walsh was right, you shouldn't jeapordize your main audience to bring in a few voters. I'm young and like both shows, but people my age just..arent that into ballroom dancing haha.

Although not Jay Hunt's biggest fan I doubt if this decision has anything to do with her. However what she will have to take the blame for is the fact that the BBC will once more receive the anti older women press that this story will bring.
She shoul have forseen the bad press coming and migated against it. We have a show now that retires women in their 30's and 60's but sees fit to continue to employ men of silmilar and older ages (and I speak as a huge Brucie fan).
I will miss Karen as she was one of the show's most original choreographers.

When Vikki's 5 trademark kisses have reduced to 1,
then you know this is serious.
