Communication between Brian & Narinder

Hello!!

I'm doing a project as part of my Communication Studies AS Level course titled "The Non-Verbal Communication of the compatibility of ‘Big Brother 2’ housemates, Brian Dowling and Narinder Kaur" - and I'm finding it hard to find some material or examples of situations in which Brian and Narinder showed their compatability through their NVC on the internet.

If anybody can think of any memorable times in which Brian and Narinder, reflected their 'relationship' through things like the gestures they use, how they stand/sit (proxemity), the facial expressions or any other types of NVC, then I'd be really grateful for any advice on any relative situations.

Many thanks,

- Joe

Perhaps if you do some searching of this forum .... I am sure you will be rewarded with many golden snippets of information ....

Like how Brian and Narinder used facial expressions to name various housemates ... remember the psychologist .... when they tried to bring bubble into that ......

This forum contains a wealth of information ... you just need to practice using various search terms

Good luck

well they used to wrestle a lot which to my mind was an obvious example of the playful and completely at ease (almost soulmate) type of relationship they had

two examples to my mind stick out

1. when brian simulated sex with narinder on the bed - it struck me then how truely comfortable they must be with each other and also how comfortable narinder appeared to be in her own skin - also the fact that both of them were very tactile and used imo physical acts to create a world in their own right - a space in the house that they both found an escape in

2. When brian won and climbed onto the stage at the final, narinder jumped into his arms and put her legs around him - again i felt that it created a bit of space for brian, 30 seconds of security and comfort in a mad night which obviously phased him. i also felt narinder felt he had won for both of them and expressed it with this gesture - finally i thought it was interesting that she was the first person he sought out although his family were there - it struck me that they really had a friendship for life there and i think this was expressed most notably in their physicality because vocally they teased each other as a means of showing their affection

don't know if this helps
