Failed recordings

I set the Hummy to record the Ladies PGA Golf on BBC2 the other day, and Series Linked it for Friday and Sunday...had to do Saturday separately. For some reason it didn't record on the Friday.

After watching a recording of Dirty Sexy Money in the evening, I noticed the EPG was completely blank. Not a sausage. I've had the box since January and have never had to do a Factory Reset, but I thought I might as well give it a go. All seemed to come back okay.

I set it up to record The Negotiator at night, and the next day I realised that hadn't recorded either. This was getting annoying. Ran a couple of tests, recording things when the box was on, and making sure it worked from Standby, and since then it's been okay.

Did anyone else have problems with the Golf, or did anyone else try to record The Negotiator and have it fail? Perhaps it was coincidence. Perhaps my Hummy was just having an off-day.

What's your signal strength & quality like on a selection of channels?

If you are having problems getting the EPG, maybe you were also having problems getting the AR signals to start the recordings?

Have you got trees come into leaf that might be interfering? Could the dish have moved a gnat's in the wind? The Freesat EPG is received from Eurobird 1, slightly off from Astra. If you can tune into Brit Shorts in non-freesat mode, what's the signal like on that?

I didn't record any of those progs BTW.

Rgds.
