I'm a bit annoyed about Download: there are no day tickets on sale like last year
I only want to see Metallica really but I'm not such a big fan that I'd willingly sit through two days of bands that aren't really my cup of tea (if the line-up rumours are correct) to see them. And there's no way on earth I'm watching Linkin Park! I heard a rumour that Slayer are playing though... if that's true I will be there like a shot! I guess I'll have to wait and see who's playing before I see if I can afford it.... |

Ick... the amount of bands I'm interested in seeing has increased to 2 (Metallica and Machine Head)...
We're in need of a metal fest to rival Wacken in this country and Download doesn't look like it's gonna be it...

well with more bands still to be announced (rumors are having it that Slayer/Motorhead/AC/DC and many others may play) also Download isnt just a Metal festival its a Rock festival
i think its kinda good that its a Rock fest as there will be a bigger range of music.

True... still think we need a good metal fest though!
Download is more nu metal and rock than anything else (going by previous years) so there's definately room for another fest thats primarily metal... Having said that, if they annouce Slayer I will be there like I shot!

It's sounding better, but a lot of those bands are not officially confirmed (there are no more confirmations on the official site anyway, apart from the Snickers stage one from a couple of weeks back) and the Metal Hammer article has been removed (at the reqest of cclive apparently) which suggests that they might be correct... at least I hope so, I've wanted to see Slayer for longer than I can remember! \m/ \,m/
Blabbermouth have reported this as well and also stated that day tickets will be on sale very soon for £45 (Donington, either day).... |
