They lost my support the day they got rid of the regional identities.

Oh for god's sake, let's get the violins out. We haven't had someone crying hystericallly over Meridian in a while now, so I guess we're overdue.

The red button only works when the program is being broadcast in HD.

I'm still upset about that carnage, it's still a sore subject in this household.... why oh why did they do it..

I would think HD is the least of its worries at the moment, having looked at the share price, advertising revenue down by 15%, half yearly losses of £105m, disposal of Friends Reunited to the owner of the Beano magazine for £145million less than it paid for it, trying to manage a £2.6bn pension fund and Michael Grade's decision to step down. What next, a rights issue?

Assuming from your signature that you have entered your correct (Scottish) postcode, then you won't find any HD on channel 103, as STV don't do HD.

However, the Humax/freesat service automatically tunes channel 977 to London ITV, which does do HD.

You have to watch the schedules though, as STV and ITV do not always broadcast the same programme at the same time.

I have successfully scheduled and recorded from 977 in HD.

Haha! Too true. I've given up seeing what's available on ITV HD now. I don't see the point.

Small bit of trivia and a bit off topic but: I was working at Meridian Maidstone when Gemma H started!

She is tiny and she didn't bring high heals in for the first day; so I was laying on the floor moving a 2in block of wood so that it was always under her heals as she moved. The lighting designer also swore because he hadn't taken into account her size and had used +6ft me to set-up the lights for the CSO.

Nice lady.

Not really, I pressed the red button last night to watch Grimefighters all I got was sound with frozen picture.

ITV HD is a joke, they can't even get half an hour HD broadcasting right.

normally tuning to a different channel and back to ITV HD cures this.

It was nine years ago and I was only there a few weeks. It wouldn't be fair for me to comment on them personally. I will say that she was both very short and really quite pretty.

Stupendously OT, but I have been trying to work out Simon Parkin's odd accent.
